1974, International Hotel Tullamarine (Now Zagames). Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs. Sitting at the back table sucking on Black Russians in between Pots.
i was lucky to meet billy in person sadly before he passed such a gentleman i know him lobby and ian and the reat of the lost musicians are looking down up above from my favourite the rainbow and ill be there one day and we will live for the true rock n roll legends peace mandy mouse xxxxxxx
my daughter watching "Glee" on teev some awful actor did performance of this song that nearly made me throw up- showed her this instead - awesome singing - RIP Billy
Thinking of a Joe Cocker song, You are co beautiful to me, where he tries to hit a high note. Not rubbishing Joe but Billy could have done it easily. What a talent, gone but not forgotten. R.I.P. BILLY.
Brilliant performance from Billy but leave the girl alone. At least she sings in tune and may have actually held the camera for this once in a life time joy we have never experienced.
one word defines billy thorpe LEGEND. that song gave me goosebumps! but honestley that old bird singing along should be necked for shiting on a otherwise perfect recording.
I'm about to be 56 and this man was a legend. Sunbury, pubs, et. al. I've live a generation or two of music and there was none better. A great loss. The older I get the more I miss his music.

Probably Austrralia's greatest ever rock singer.I remember seeing him when the PA gave up but you could still hear him singing over the stage gear.A true Australian Rock Legend who could still blow the doors off the place right up until he died. Thanks Billy!

Beg to differ, this was back in Nov last year I think, in fact Billy found this video in Devember and asked for a copy!!! as he wanted to remember his first gig!
