  • Ha ha ha ha ha.... I saw this in my math book, screamed, pulled my hair some, and ran in the other direction!!! I came back to check it out again, and googled this Sigma thing, and you explained it so well, I feel stupid for my fit!! Thank you so very much!!

  • I love the peace expression at the end... :)

  • damn you sexy.

  • Wow, you explained that so well, thank you!!

  • Thank you SO much! I missed a week of school when we did this, and when my teacher started going over it on the board, I had no idea what he was talking about--- but you cleared it up for me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

  • @adoremina what should i do if the the number above the sigma sign is ten, under the sigma sign it says i=1 and then to the right of the sigma sign it says 2. plz help me im badly stuck and i cant see any logic in the answear being 20 :S + the rest of the questions in my excersise are pretty easy and i solved them quickly, i cant possibly imagine that this one should be so much harder? :S

  • @GurliEriksson I haven't worked with this type of math in a while, but if to the right, it only says 2, with no variable in it, i guess it would be 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=20

It's just like 2 multiplied by i to the zero power [which shows up as just 2]. And you substitute i with each number in the interval [in your case, 1 to 10]. Add it all up and it's 20.

  • @adoremina Thank you very much, you have helped me a lot :) I have been struggling with this one for a while now as it was the only one i did not understand. Thanks again! :)
