the last strip is the saddest, and i cry every time i see it. it shows calvin doing a report, and he took ritilin and hobbes says "its snowing so, i was wondering if-" then calvin interrupts him with "Im sorry what? im trying to get this done okay?" then the next strip shows hobbes as a stuff animal and calvin is still working on his report.

Calvin and Hobbes will always be the best comic strip in the world. I've always been thankful for the book collections, becasue the strip ended when I was only 1 year old. Bill Watterson basically saved everyone from Get Fuzzy, F minus, Non sequiter, and Foxtrot crap we have today. C and H rocks my socks.

I think some cell animated Calvin and Hobbes animated specials, in the tradition of The Peanuts would have been awesome actually. I think it's a shame that option is off the table, I do agree I would hate to see it in CG 3-D animation though.

@runway34r I don't think we'll see a Calvin & Hobbes animation of any sort as long as Bill Watterson has anything to say about it. Which is both good and bad. On one hand you want to see the characters you love come to life on-screen, but it's tough to do without taking away its innocence and turning it into a typical crappy Hollywood adaptation. It's a tough call, but it's one we may never have to make.
