  • Serious sick shit.

  • Pure 4x4!

  • damn , that's the most craziest offroading I've seen in a while. Nice work on the shox

  • why dont you get some more aggressive tyres, you have the lift to do it. Some boggers or Maxxis Treps or some centipedes ?

  • @ThePicko94 This video is four years old and at the time I drove a lot. I currently run a set of 35" MTR's and 39" Pitbulls. In all honesty the MTR's do great in west coast terrain and ride better and last a lot longer than more aggressive tires. FYI boggers suck except in the mud and Maxxis tires are grossly overpriced.

  • @evilwhitey98 how much did you whole suspention set up cost? and do they work good for street or are they ruf?

  • @evilwhitey98 could probably knock ever other lug off the MTR's like they do with boggers to make them more aggressive. Good all-round tires for sure though.

  • This is an amazing video. Those trucks just dont stop for anything do they?.Love that tire and suspension setup.I want to set my 97 Tacoma up to do this kind of wheelin'.Thanks for the video!!!

  • 2:07 oohhh yeah lol

  • Love it, nice truck.

  • nice army jeep tires... not

  • O ok well im new at this and I just put 60 hours into my toyota its almost done im in washington state where are some good places to go?

  • Is it worth a 20 hour trip there?

  • @coltonday1 To Holister hills? NO!!! Not unless you're participating in the Top Truck Challenge. I worked out there at the time of this video so it was only an hour away.

  • what state and city are you in?

  • @coltonday1 Sandy UT now. This was filmed in holister ca

  • needs sound

  • @skylercourney It had sound until youtube decided to remove it. I no longer have the source files minus the music so oh well. Thanks youtube and the greedy music industry.

  • Should of bought a jeep u would of looked better got something to say about that how about Myballsyourchin

  • @lilbit19721 Does your mom know you're on the interwebs again child?

  • nice build!!!

  • I have a 93 Toyota pickup. I'm wondering how much it would cost me to do a solid front axle swap on it? It can't be cheap, I know that much.

  • poor wheel bearings

  • lookout hear comes spiderman

  • are there any good mud pits there and trails that ain so sideways ha i want to go there soon

  • @sovietsks45 Yep, TONS!!!

  • you runnin trail gear springs or marlin

  • @flatblackandy TG 3" springs with a few leafs removed.

  • Nice 92 to 95 with stright axle.

  • this is lovely, everyone should experience the joy of being able to take your vehicle where ever you want i no i do!!!! i got a 89 v6 5speed with a 5" lift and 35x12.5's

  • Comment removed

  • how big is the lift and tires and wat springs and shocks is the blue toy runnin?

  • @glerma1 ~ 5" on both trucks. 37" tires on the grey truck and 35" on the blue one. Alcans and crap procomp shocks on the blue truck.

  • @evilwhitey98 i will post a video of my toyota it has 1 ton axles 250 chevy motor 700r4 trans atlas transfer case all tube chassi just toyota cab

  • @evilwhitey98 Ive been told Procomp is crap. Ive got a 85 extra cab and wondering what brand of lift to go with? Some one told me Rough Country is a good brand. Maybe Skyjacker?

  • i like the solid axle

  • I love Toyota's. I had blue one like yours that I bought from a co-worker.

I found out the SR5 V6 was running on only 4 cylinders so I got mad and asked for my money back.

I could have rebuilt it but, I already own a 90' Trooper thats a money pit.

  • Nice wheeling man...agreed with above, those are some tough ass tires. BTW---girl in the passenger seat at 5:38 can be my copilot anytime :) Yall need to come out to Georgia and do some wheeling >: )

  • as a Blazer owner, okay...I'm impressed by the driving skills ; )

  • Even better with the crappy music disabled.

  • thats some sick articulation on them rigs do you have beadlocks on them

  • @country30116 no beadlocks just 8" wheels, the narrow rims hold tires better.

  • this is not hollister missouri by any chance is it??

  • @1022JB No, it's hollister CA.

  • Sweet! thats the kind of stuff me and my brother go through with his yota! definatly one of my favorites! nice drivin too.

  • deadly rigs, im converting my 88 4runner going with some 38'' swampers

  • WMG sucks

  • thats awesome. how did you get the locker? or where do you get it from? did it already come with the truck?

  • sweet rig btw. what size kit did you go with? im collecting parts for my swap right now.

  • @kidwiththeface814

It's a trail gear 3" kit that I modified a bit. basically moved the front axle two inches further than it would have gone with the kit. Fits 39" Pitbull Maddogs now.

  • @evilwhitey98 how did you modify it to get the axle frwd 2" more? I have a allpro 4" kit on mine and wanted to move my axle frwd but was wondering how you did it with out mving the front spring hanger frwd..... cause mine is flush with the crossmember in the front....do you have a build thread on pirate4x4? Thanks for any info :)

  • @Mauistyl Actually I extended my front spring hanger forward 2" and set my shackle tubes forward 2" as well. It was really simple. No build thread on pirate4x4, sorry.

  • nice rigs

  • Great video guys, one of my favorite on youtube.. all of u hav nice rides and this looks like a fun place to wheel!!

  • I'd love to take my samurai through there. But I'll never make it to California. I'm in Michigan.

  • Nature is something to drive a truck through. its the American way.

  • would you tell me what kind of shocks you are using , i mean size and everythig, and what kind of spring or pier (im not sure if this is the rigth termn) thanks a lot

  • Dumb question, but is that a 4x2 grill on the 85-88 truck?

  • Not sure but it might be. Bought it like that.

  • @gyrenejoe pretty sure its the reg 4x4 one. the 2x4s have diff fenders so the grill is not as tall and requires modification to put a 4x4 grill on a 2x4 i think a 2x4 would have a gap thats just a 93 and up grill i do believe

  • @kidwiththeface814

I put a 89' 4x4 grill with 4x2 fenders and 4x2 side markers on my truck, it all fits like it should. I put the 4x2 fenders on because they are 2" narrower then the 4x4 fenders, helps me see whats ahead better. Check my vid to see it.

  • what front axel is in that tacoma?

  • 85' Front Axle

  • No Tacoma's there. Those are called Mini's. B/c the Tacoma hadn't been introduced yet. & it's not a Jeep either, another comment I expect from a 5 y.o.

The solid axle in the mini won't fit in a Tacoma. The transfer case drop sides changed in 95 WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE TACOMA. You have to cut the knuckles off a Mini housing and flip it over and reweld them. Might have to cut & turn the ring the diff bolts to IDK or care. Don't like Taco's. Not NEAR as good as a MADE IN JAPAN mini or LC.

  • Which trail is this?

  • Not sure. The jungle trail?

  • where is hollister hills????????

  • Holister CA

  • @86ramguy California try watching Tough Truck Challenge sometime

  • Your vids are rad as fuc! What size wheel spacers are you running? And what is the back spacing on your rims?

  • 1.5" Spacers with 2" back spaced 15x8" rims. Thanks!

  • does it take a lot of work to make your truck into a decent crawler?

  • im building a 1981 toyota 4x4 22R.

from ground up. 8 inch lift and 37's going to put on it

  • i took my jeep crawling last week and flipt it

  • would you ever consider trading your truck for my truck? I have a 1989 Toyota Pick up 4X4 3VZE 5 speed, it has fiberwerx baja fenders, and a total chaos fabrication 2generation caddy kit (you can still use your 4X4), and lots of other goodies.

  • Thanks for the offer but I've got too much time and effort into my old pile. Sounds like your rig is fun!

  • same here and yes it is fun, but i wanna try crawling. Going 85 plus on whoops is getting kind of old lol

  • Why don't you let us hear the sound of the trucks instead of putting music we don't want to hear?

  • Some of my videos do. As mentioned before, I don't have the original video sans music. It was recorded on a digital camera and the sound sucked anyway. Not much to hear with 22re's anyway...

  • get sound track sorted

  • Sorry but Youtube is incredibly gay and deleted the sound track. I no longer have the original files so I can't upload anything with sound without them pulling it again. WMG can kiss my ass!

  • I wish my truck could flex like that =[

  • i hav 37's.. mine cost 450 a piece

  • you must not drive thoes on the road much cause of the front and rear lockers, my rig has a hard time with just the rear locker in...

  • No, we both drive all over the place. The front axles have hubs so it's not like that's a problem and a rear locker isn't a big deal at all unless you have a really short wheelbase rig and drive a ton in icy areas.

  • hey man was looking to build a trail rig not to dissimler to this can we chat ?

  • Really nice! Nothing fancy, just get up and go! Love the good old solid front too.

  • Sick video wish it had sound

  • good video on some awesome suspention action! those truck are sweet!

  • i love men in big trucks.. huge turn on

  • just by curiosity, how much do those tires cost?

  • The 37's are somewhere between $250 and $280 a piece and the 35's are about $180. I'll be stepping up to 39.5's soon.

  • holly shit, i think they are worth the price, i thought my maxxis razr were expensive hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • wow talk about sidewall strength this is amazing

  • seriosly! 2.24 I love MTR's Favorite tire fersher!

  • how much did that cost you? i gotta a stock 92 toyota pickup 4x4 im lookin to raise but i dont know where to start.

  • start tires and suspension then some lockers and maybe change the transfer case all this might aroun 5-8 k

  • k thanks man. how often do u go to holister?

  • that is insane

  • man its so cool

  • Bad ass... cant wait to get my truck!

  • Can you get that much Flex from a 95 yot 4 runner?

  • Sure, my 93 flexed the same as your 95. Just do a solid axle swap and modify your rear coil suspension.

  • northern nevada?? tahoe or carson river area??

  • Vegas for the time being. All the vid was done in Hollister Hills OHV in CA

  • how are you getting that much flex

  • Flexy leaf springs, no sway bars, long shocks and crossover steering.

  • Nice Looking/working Yotas,Thanks for putting lift size on the info.

  • insane path :)

  • Kind of a neat little trail..

  • what sort of leaf springs do u have in those luxes??? how did u get that much flex???

what sort of mods do u have to get them that way

  • it says in the description

  • great vid

  • awesome trucks bro, and that was kickass offroading. I have a 97' T-100 myself with a

4" lift for now. I have newborn son so the funds are a little tight right now.

  • awesome 4wheeling bro. Toyotas are kickass. I own a 87' T100 myself.

  • did it come with solid front axle??

  • No, I swapped one in.

  • well, i was asking poppycock if his truck has front axle hehe... but anyway, how hard is to intall an axle, if the truck has not one... of course, being 4x4... my girlfriend wants a toyota, and i told her to buy one with a front axle, but she wants a newer truck, like a 94, 95...

    saludos desde mexico.

  • dude good chose toy yotas are the shit keep rolling

  • thats awsome! did u put the strait ax on the 93 ur self or did it come with it? i like the vid it rocks...!

  • I helped work on both these trucks the grey one from the time it was stock and a little welding on the yellow one

    being their brother rocks

  • how do u guys like those alcan orbit eye springs? looks like they flex alot! im trying to decide what springs to use on my 82

  • get trial gear they flex super

  • Great lookin yota's.

  • what shocks are the grey truck running? bilstein?

  • wooo hoooo love this trucks ... /thumbsup

  • nice toyota

  • Your have been invited to.

    Horsepower Profiles. Com

  • nice rigs good vids.

  • hey what song is play on the begining of the video

  • super bon bon by soul coughing

  • Stright axle Toyotas are awsome, Speeking from experiance Longfields are a worthwile investment. Please check out 4X4 up a waterfall to witness my insaneness.

  • I like seeing solid axels under the toys!!

  • Damn, after watching this my 4runner sucks again :(.

I am saving up for gears and lockers right now and about to do a square D-shaft. After that I am wanting some of the new 35" LTBs that are coming out next month. A doubler is still way out there in fantasy land for me... a real suspension would not kill my truck either :D

  • dont compair ur rig to others...they are just farther along....you gotta beleive in ur rig!!!! :)

  • Yeah I know. But for a long time I was the guy in the club that could get through the most stuff. Now there is another guy with a mini-truck who is locked and has everything Marlin sells on his truck besides the doubler. He just walks through most of the stuff I have trouble with. I still go places he doesn't because he is afraid of tearing his truck up though.

  • hahah gotta love the guys that dont dare to get a little body damageeeeee its what rockcrawlers are made for....

  • ell I do like him alot, he is my best friend in the club :). We are actually in the process of throwing together a spare rear axle he has with a welded rear diff so that I can remove mine and begin rebuilding it. I am going to be putting a spool and 5.29's in it. I want to find a spare front axle and do the same but put a high pinion electric locker in the front.

  • im starting to really like those kinds of trucks. they're tacomas right?? im lookin at either a pickup like the ones in this vid, or a 4runner. which would u recommend?

  • These are actually pre-tacoma (came out in late 95) pickups. The yellow one is an 85 and the grey one is a 93. It's hard to go wrong with either a pickup or 4-runner. Just pick what fits your lifestyle. I wish I had more room and the ability to haul more people so my next rig will probably be a 4-runner.

  • what kind of lift and springs? i heard alcans flex the best over time

  • Alcans probably do hold up about as good as possible on a suspension that cycles like this. The Orange truck has alcans the grey one has Trail Gear springs. The key to making springs last is proper bump stops.

  • Nice trucks! Wish you could get the IFS ones to work as well. Here in the UK, all the solid axle ones are rare as most have turned to dust cos of all the rain.

  • Mine used to be IFS, I chopped it off and put a solid axle under it.

  • i wanna go with you, can you ride me?

  • Umm... that depends. : )

  • i'm so beautiful, i'm so sweet to, can you ride me??

  • Nice rigs man how do you like the MTRs

  • The MTR's work fairly well. By far the best all around tire for a vehicle that is driven on the street. My 38.5" SX's were much better in the rocks and maybe a hair better in the snow but for the most part the MTR's have surprised me. I wish they made a 40" MTR that had a C load rating and was cheap!

  • Ya i just put a set of 36 SXs on my truck,i love em

  • I just hated my SX's on the street over 30mph. The MTR's ride like glass and like I said, do fairly well everywhere. That and they were HEAVY at 89lbs a piece. Going to the MTR's and 8" wheels took off 25lbs a corner.

  • Awesome job building these beasts. Awesome video. Props to you!

  • Thanks guys. They're alright. My brother and I are both going to build a bit more extreme rigs next go around now that we've had a little experience fabbing.

  • those are some sick yota's bro.

  • cool trucks

  • What suspention setup is being run on the yellow rig?

  • Alcan springs front and rear, the rear springs have joints at one end for more flex and are I think 56" long. The fronts are 51" long with the centerpin moved forward to a point where the axle is about 4" forward from stock. The grey truck's axle is moved about 5" forward of stock and is running trail-gear stuff.

  • what are the songs played in this video?...good shiot

  • Super Bon Bon by Soul Coughing

Closer by NIN (edited a bit)

Ode to the Sun by Dredg

  • I took my truck (grey) to Total Offroad Design (T.O.R.) in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The owner Eric did a great job on the suspension, gearing my axles and building my bumper (which I used in this vid a couple times).

  • cool man must be a sweet builder who helped you with all of that LOL

  • Heck yeah! He's the most ball'in builder in Idaho!
