...its like rediscovering the first album once again..strange.. you didnt listen to it for a while and , then you cacth one song... and BANG !! .all comes back ..! fucking genius...
WHO DISLIKED THIS? Well, at least it's only one person, the other 130 have a decent taste of music. I've just ordered this album by the way, should be here on wednesday or thursday. i currently only have decade, but not for long!!!
The Synth is derived a bit from Japan, Richard Barbieri who I think Rhodes was a follower of! I must say that this song is class though. The muscianship is amazing....they were an extremely talented group of young guys. They deserved their success. I love the lyrics....it encaptures Ray Bradbury's short story...at least maybe thats what the song is about..or maybe its a metaphor? The bass is amazing...and drumming...Roger Taylor was an amazing drummer
Fantastic album. I'm 12, and I only got into Duran Duran in March 2011. I heard Girls On Film and Hungry Like The Wolf at Xmas in 2010, but I watched Duran Duran: One Night Only on the 20th March just out of interest
this is great...everything's in concert here...Simon's singing, John's bass, Nick's keyboard, Andy's guitar, and Roger's drumming...underrated song, in my opinion. @Anna, I'm 12 yrs old again, too...so glad we had quality music to listen to back then.
This band has always been so underrated... They were just kids when they created this new, unique sound, combining classic, organic guitar with funky bass, new cutting edge synths, solid, original drums and percussion and Simon's colourful, poetic lyrics.
So progressive, so artistic, so open minded and to think at the ages of 16, 17, 23 etc. they were so dedicated and hard working. They have been a great inspiration and lesson to me for 30 years.
putz como da pra escutar esse baixo do John taylor magnifique!

They made a lot of crap albums in the late 90's and early 00's and I mean crap! love the last album with Ronson. Hope they keep that momentum.

I would listen to that song over and over again. Wish I could sing or play synthesizers like that. Or even better, I wish I could do both like that!
