I dont understand her score on this at all. Zmeskal and Onodi who did worse vaults with hops got higher scores. Had she been scored correctly on compulsory vault she would have won the compulsory round overall over Miller. It is kind of ironic sine she was gifted on optional vaults later in the competition.

@grafgirl27 once zmeskal fell, I think the judges wanted to make sure she still had a shot at the all around.

Totally underscored on this vault. She got a lower score then Onodi who took a hop which was crazy. Getting underscored on this vault cost her winning the compulsories since compared to Miller she scored slightly lower on beam, slightly higher on bars and floor. She was the only one of the top gymnasts who did compulsory vault as well as Miller, and I dont understand her low score at all.

Such a lame vault.... I hated when compulsories were this easy. That is a huge jump..... yami half to tsuk lay in 1996....

Yes it was a piked Tsuk but basically they showed a "kick-out" on the second somersault.
