I agree and disagree with you. It's not so much as the melody that he's wrapping to, it's that the hook/chorus that I don't care for. Sometimes the hook can make or break a song, but he's so sick, you could just ignore that all together. If somebody like kanye tried to use this same sample, the song would suck.
