whot an amasing creation! this is art people and feelings! i just know i adore it...this should be a hit nowdays instead of a stupid melancholic song lets say... beyonce broken hearted girl !
Nothing but some of the best Classic Rock. "Hair" is an MTV term attempting to take away from the music, it's ordered by a scamming industry, a dysfunctional RIAA selling bad products. They have long hair, but that's really just the classic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal image. And that's what it is, none less.
Definetly an emotional solo, with Sandi's vocals over it, and Tony Rey is a great guitar player, I always thought he played the solo, and Steve played rhythm on this. Either way, amazing song! Glad I have this on cd !
@Memoryburst I don't think Shocker was as bas as Battlefield Earth, Starship Troopers, Gigli, Glitter, Crossroads (starring Britney Spears) or Ishtar.
I loved this song, it was recorded originally for the soundtrack for the Wes Craven movie 'Shocker' and is available on the OST of the movie, Sandi Saraya was a stunning latino babe, and the main selling point to the band, the guys in the band were nothing without her. But it was in the days when the entire band would fight over the Hairspray!!!!!!!!!!
you are so right mate...but it was never meant to last was it...music changes for better or worse...at least we have the memories of the greatest decade for music and now with wonderful youtube can experience them all again!
Damn Sandy had an AWESOME voice. Also looked like a girl I went out with some in college in the late EIGHTIES. There were a lot of girls who looked like that then WHERED THEY ALL GO TO!!!!?????
=D Hey, this is the band my step-dad is in he's gary the one all the way to the left with black hair. Thanks for the comments about the band i'll make sure to tell him :)
Just a magnificent piece of work. I just ordered the first album off Amazon, can't wait to get it! I think Steve Lukather actually played the guitar solo on this track......
LivingInADream10: This video makes me so sad - for the unfulfilled promise of this amazing band. I have been a Saraya fan since their start. Sandi was one of the greatest female hard rock singers I have ever heard, the band amazingly tight and professional. The guitar work is extraordinarily tasty! Both Saraya releases live forever on every MP3 player I own. Where did this come from? Do you have more from the demo? Brilliant stuff! THANK YOU! Sandi, if you see this, people still love you! cheers
Great song, when I first heard 'the world is not enough' the 007 track by Garbage it made me remember this classic, quite similar in style. It could be a bond theme too.
I never believed when I searched for this it would be on here! I feel like I am the only one in the world who remembers this song! I always thought this was so beautiful-I have it on cassette single still but have not listened in years! thanks so much.
Hauntingly beautiful song! Still can't fight back the tears when I hear this one. Celebrating a recent reunion with my own Timeless Love while mourning the 16 years we lost to a misunderstanding from which we've only recently recovered. After 16 years and with 200 miles between us, nothing has changed in our hearts. Counting down the twenty four days until we next hold each other. Across the miles from me to you. Je t'aime.
Thank you for uploading this song, it was one of the better songs from the soundtrack that never got the respect it deserved. Do you have the whole cd (shocker)?
Many thanks and I wish that I had picked up the soundtrack now as it's such a hauntingly beautiful song. Sandi Saraya's vocals never sounded better and I have both of Saraya's CDs, too.
Any chance in putting the lyrics in the description area?
Unfortunately, ballads like this one do not exist anymore !

"Shocker" was a horrible movie...with a pretty good soundtrack.
I think this is one of the best power ballads of the 1980s. Pity it isn't more well known.

It's a shame this band didn't come out in the earlier part of the 80's, I think they would've gotten a lot more recognition if they had.
