I mostly listen to orchestral music. Can someone tell me why the voice seems to be the only appropriate instrument where its ok to use such ridiculous vibrato all the time? A lot of the time I can't hear one note moving to the next because its all one shaky line. I understand why you would use it in certain occasions, but all the time at that velocity seems silly to me. I'm a classical guitarist who doesn't play with vocalists that much. I'm not put vocalists down, just trying to understand

@markey628 Vibrato is a natural element of the voice. It is basically the vocal folds breaking up the air and the speed of this depends on the thickness and density of the cords themselves. Sometimes we can "straighten out the tone, but if this is done too much or without proper knowledge we can damage our vocal folds.
