  • Very nice, when your being compared to Thile your in the smallest percentile of mandolin players in the world. hope your still making music, getting better. these jokers criticizing your playing are the listeners, which eventually will be the people you must please, As far as playing your are respected, even if it's not perfect.

  • Staggering!!! PLEASE use your skill's to further poularize clasical music. I see a market for it - FILL THE HOLE!!!!

  • ES EL JIMI HENDRIX DE LA MANDOLINA

  • All i can see is an amazing u and coming musician. Maybe even another Thile. The fact he can play this piece at all, fast or slow at his age shows undeniable talent. People need to understand that youth is about passion and expression often through speed. Everyone said Goulds 55 Goldberg variations were to fast.....I think I can rest my case.

  • Bravo !

  • I think he's had too much bluegrass training. Too fast, as well. Less speed and more emotion. Good effort though. Definitely not an easy piece to play.

  • to all the people nitpicking the errors... you're not necessarily wrong, but this guy's fifteen (or was when this was recorded). Clarity in you practice doesn't always translate into performance accuracy, especially if you haven't been on stage much yet.

  • Boy's really good , but it's well to remember that virtuosity is not in speed , but in the interpretation of each note...keep it up , boy !

  • bach...on mandolin..... insanely well.... MARRY ME

  • Anyone who has J.S. Bach's "Sonatas and Partitas for violin" committed to memory will hear all the wrong notes in this performance, and there are many. Have respect for the great master and learn to execute the passages accurately!!! Don't mess with J.S.!!!!

  • Maybe a little harsh, but I do agree, to a degree. Classical music should be played with clarity, and part of what makes Bach so enjoyable is the accuracy of the passages... maybe slow down a little bit next time... just a suggestion.

  • too fast

  • That is some major mandolin picking. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Bravo!

  • I'm jealous. I'm starting to work on classical now. That's really great. 5*s

  • Great job!

  • looks like a weber gallatin

  • lol this is my cousins boyfriend. hey sean its me brandon :)

  • he has that thile right hand grip - I can't make it work but it obviously works for him.

  • yeah interesting, i can't quite make it work for me either. I have to have my hand open. But Chris also plants really high behind the bridge...

  • You are so talented my friend! What make of mandolin have you got - it sounds really nice :)

thanks for sharing and keep up the amazing playing x

  • I think thats a Weber something or other.

  • Bitchen

  • This is very nice...this kid is going to be a beast someday.

  • i'm sure this kid is talented... he needs to "studio up" and get rid of all the pick noise.

  • Great techique :)

  • Sean you are too cool for school.

  • Sean you rule. Love MC

  • Ditto, Pete. It's crazy good.

  • Wow, that's incredible!
