dear friends try this song in this way......you will really analyse yourself....
in the place of "bachoo" use "hum hi" and accordingly in the place of "ye desh he tumhara" use "ye Desh he Hamara" and try to sing this song you will definitely feel the difference. only children are not adviseble to be honest and accountable, they are always honest but it is we the adult to be the model for children. change the whole wording in this way and feel the difference.......mihir

Thanks to guy who uploaded this song. my all time favourite patriotic song..... What a great poet ..shakeel Badayuni .... your heart rejoices the moment you hear these lyrics ....can any other song bring such sense of joy ? ..frankly ....
i am saddened that such great poets exist no more ...such great values, such humility .... i am sad our children can only get sleaze and immorality from our generation.... dead people living. wake up india.... some lyricist at least try to imitate....
The song is may be 30 years back but every time i hear it.... it makes me so happy... iam 22 but still loves this song madly.... the lyrics r awesome....
i love this song. my school was opposite to my home, at time of 26 jan or 15 aug this song played by school. so when i listen this i remembered my sweetest school days.
this is very meaning full song, we should have learn some thing from this song.
its all money making jaani in india now,the film industry is doin crap, seems like they running out of clothes on their body too, these songs are not made no more, all u hear is dhum dharaka now .its gona get more crappy and thts sad.
i remeber in my childhood ..some 10-15 yrs back,,, ..during a singing competion in school , i won 1st prize for singing this song..& teachers were surprised how i choose such a old song.
60 years of Chor and Criminal Congress Party and Anti-Hindu SICKularists has destroyed India and its ancient Hindu culture, and has sold India to Islamic Terrorists, Jihadis, Criminals, and Traitors for vote bank so that Criminal Congress Party and SICKularists can be in power to destroy India even more.
Jai Shri Ram protect Bharatmata from all the dark Evil forces.
very nice and insprinational song for youths of india and its always inspire us that we are indians and t is ur duty to mantain its powera d respect in world
This is rahul , i was in bhua bhichhia mandala some 20 years ago, and there my head master "Jha guru ji" Taught me this song..... he was precdenational awadrwd candidate", ....he was freedom fighter......hmm...are those teachings are really true ??? I am a s/w professional & a married man..is these words really hols any values in these worlds...i was a really beliver of this....but in present time it doresent holds any values.
Rahul, the values still hold good. This world would be a jungle but for some people who hold these values. So don't get disheartened. Things will change one day.
Rahul, if you really listened the words of the song, you would remember this, "Duniya ke ranj sehanaa, aur kuchh naa munh se kehnaa, sachchaaiyon ke bal pe aage ko badhte rehnaa, rakh doge ek din tum, sansaar ko badal ke."
And also don't forget my friend...."Yeh desh hai TUMHARA, netaa TUMHI ho kal ke." It is addressed exactly for the feelings you have. When you are in doubt and noone is following the righteous path then too, "Ekla cholo re".
I love this song so as the principle and always following it but there was a new song from Jackie Shroff movies and in the same tune says NETA O KI DAGAR PE CHAMCHO DIKHAO CHALKE YEH DESH HAI TUMHARA KHA JAO ISKO TAL KE
SUBAH KO EK DAL ME AUR SHAM EK DAL ME KIMAT APNI BADHAO TUM PARTY BADAL KE
This song still makes me cry. What a beautiful and thoughtful song composed almost 50 years ago. Wish we could all follow of what's taught by this generous teacher.
Another great song which shows that we are heading in the wrong direction. Lawlessness, Poverty, Hunger is prevalent in our country even after 60 years of Independence. Sad.

Really good song...but the movie seems like one of those typical communist propaganda pieces of the 50s/60s. The school teacher looks like he's been separated from Joseph Stalin at the Kumbh Mela.
this is the first song which i learnt to sing when i was 4 years old. the song reminds us about our duty towards our nation. are you people satisfied with India's present political, economical and social conditions? no..... we really need to do something, so awake indians !
I just love this song. When I was in school we had a group performance and I have always been inspired by this wonderful song ever since. Thank you so much for uploading it!
Like Mother India ,this was a brilliant social documentary on the exploitation of the poor by the Capitalist system of inequality. India produced some great films- Do Bigha Zamin also. Kaleem
I don't know when the great lyricists, music composers would be able to create such motivating sings any more. We have already started living in the fantasy world.
what a rich, lovely song. You know there were teachers like this, at least when I was growing up. Truly selfless, and liberal in the real sense of the world. Inspiring and treating all kids as the same, as if their own! I am not saying there are not now, only that I am not familiar with the current situation.
i am from jamica and i watch this movie from i was at the age of 8. my grandfather died years ago but he was from india and every time he went to america he always brought back indian movies . there is a lot of indians that lived in jamaica and i appreciate this vidoes

I remember a parody of this song in a Jackie Shroff movie. It went something like this:
"Netaon ki dagar pe, chamchon dikhao chalke...yeh desh hain tumhara, kha jao iss ko talke"
No offence meant to anyone. I am an Indian. I just remembered the parody as soon as i read the name of the song.

Do not believe anything because it is said by an authority, or if it is said to come from angels, or from Gods, or from an inspired source.
Believe it only if you have explored it in your own heart & mind & body and found it to be true.

So movingly rendered. Hemant was one of the rare geniuses of the Indian film industru: a signer, composer, music director snf lyricist.
I had the rare opportunity of seeing his live shows twice and close up. Those memories are etched deeeply in my psyche.
