you know y paul was without shoes? this was in an interview. He said they were recording the album, and he was wearing sandals, but they hurt his feet so he took them off to record. The photographer showed up, and was in a hurry, so they had to take the Abbey Roads cover then and there, so all the beatles quick went to the road, and paul forgot his shoes. it's as simple as that!
