@firetools its just black white are good games but the games are too short in length and story, besides that everything else is good. HG and SS have a longer story with some newly added additions, and the game takes a while to beat especially going after the legendary pokemon.

No, you are probably right, I just got stuck in the 90's and 00's. I don't like the motion control gimmic everyone is loving so much and the touch screen is just so... I don't know... dated? It seems like it would be more likely to break that the classic style of GBA, and that stuffed scratched like crazy.
@viraticwars Nope, you see instead of having to open up the menu screen the bottom screen is the menu screen, you tap the button you want be it Pokemon, Bag etc. and it opens up quickly and presto your items each in their own section. Also the screen doesn't scratch easily, I've used mine a lot, I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it's yet to be damaged. The DS is a great handheld, it's just people thing it's complicated when it's really not.
@viraticwars Yeah, the 3DS has some good games now but the best are coming near the end of the year like Super Mario 3D Land, Sonic Generations, and Mario Kart 7, and next year theres Luigis Mansion 2, Kid Icarus, RE Revaletions, and 2 new Monster Hunter games, MH 3G and MH 4.

I loved Gold as a kid but I lost it/someone nicked it many many years ago. After getting a DS for free off someone who didn't want it anymore, I am thinking about doing the impossible and buying my first new Pokemon game since Yellow. I can't decide whether or not to get HeartGold or Black though.
@ALostMap there are still cool pokemon in the newer generations, and I like to try new things instead of having Charizard as my favorite pokemon forever, which is honestly quite boring.
@firetools I agree one of my new favorite pokemon is luxray, not sure which generation he is from. But even still, to find the 'cool' new editions, you have to sift through a multitude of pokemon that are either boring, overly goofy, or simply a copy of an older one. For instance there are now like 10 different fish pokemon. Why are there 10 different fish? Theyre no different or unique from magikarp and goldeen.
I wish black and white were compatible with the poke walker and I wish you could walk with your Pokemon I loved that about soul silver

Instead of a home and a lab the trainer wakes up in a dark cave with no memory, and picks a cavern to go down with (i dunno) a blue/red/green symbol? Thus determining whichever starter they find, then etc etc i dunno. but would be more interesting then a town and lab and professor blah blah. :)

hate the story in pokemon white because it doesnt have any original pokemon and when u finally get original pokmemon after finishing the elite four theres hardly any reason to train your new cool pokemon. next time have the original 150 pokemon or so in the story line of the game

The marketing strategy of Pokemon is a winning formula that reflects it's gameplay.
1. Make two copies of the same game.
2. Fix last game with improved installment. (Remake exempt)
3. Repeat
I actually prefer to see them remake Pokemon than COD and Madden combine.
HG/SS should serve as reminders of what greatness looks like when you put effort into your creativity.
Simply put, everything went downhill the minute they slapped legendaries on the cover of every title after G/S.

ok not to be a complete ass, but SERIOUSLY? alright first off, you are paying only $40 for a pokemon game with:
-16 badges
-10 or so legendaries
-the pokewalker
people just liked the original 151 pokemon more than all the bullshit that they were throwing out at them, SO the made a remake of the original game was somewhat of a flashback with a little special bonus of having the 2 leagues and have your pokemon follow you, so kind of like a yellow remake and then some. this game is a 10.0 or a 9.5

No, you are probably right, I just got stuck in the 90's and 00's. I don't like the motion control gimmic everyone is loving so much and the touch screen is just so... I don't know... dated? It seems like it would be more likely to break that the classic style of GBA, and that stuffed scratched like crazy.

@viraticwars Nope, you see instead of having to open up the menu screen the bottom screen is the menu screen, you tap the button you want be it Pokemon, Bag etc. and it opens up quickly and presto your items each in their own section. Also the screen doesn't scratch easily, I've used mine a lot, I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it's yet to be damaged. The DS is a great handheld, it's just people thing it's complicated when it's really not.

@viraticwars Yeah, the 3DS has some good games now but the best are coming near the end of the year like Super Mario 3D Land, Sonic Generations, and Mario Kart 7, and next year theres Luigis Mansion 2, Kid Icarus, RE Revaletions, and 2 new Monster Hunter games, MH 3G and MH 4.

I loved Gold as a kid but I lost it/someone nicked it many many years ago. After getting a DS for free off someone who didn't want it anymore, I am thinking about doing the impossible and buying my first new Pokemon game since Yellow. I can't decide whether or not to get HeartGold or Black though.

@firetools I agree one of my new favorite pokemon is luxray, not sure which generation he is from. But even still, to find the 'cool' new editions, you have to sift through a multitude of pokemon that are either boring, overly goofy, or simply a copy of an older one. For instance there are now like 10 different fish pokemon. Why are there 10 different fish? Theyre no different or unique from magikarp and goldeen.
