you have a condittion called hiperflexia. its a really cool disease, Nicolo paganini had hiperflexia and its one of the reasons why he played the violin that good. of course he also had aracnodactylia, but you could learn to play some cord instrument very fast. i recommend you violin or guitar. by the way, sorry for my english i learned it from songs lyrics xD

I can do the same thing exactly like you are doing, when I look it doesn't look "weird" but it's really not good for your thumb so you shouldn't do it... the tops of my thumbs bend back the same as your a little bit further than yours do. it's called hitchhikers thumb. i can also bend my thumb back behind my hand and sit it under the nuckle and fold my fingers over themselves. i can bend the tops of 4 fingers down but they dont dance as u put it and im double jointed in one thumb. it freaks people out cause you can feel the bone move

If any other of your joints are super flexible, you might want to be checked for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It's a connective tissue disease & is progressive, with no treatment. I hope you don't have it, but it's worth checking out. I have it & can do those things with my fingers. I've had to go on disability as more of my joints began dislocating.

I remember my friend at high school used to be able to hold his hands together behind his back and then, keeping hold of them, move his arms over his head so that they ended up in front of him. Thankyou! :) Umm well I got 9/9 in the Beighton system which means it affects other places like my knees and elbows. My shoulders are too, but I've never been able to do that, I don't think they dislocate that way. :)

I just attempted to see how far back my fingers and thumb would go and OW! Lol, you're right your hands are unusual like that. It reminds me of one of my childhood friends who's double jointed so he was able to twist his fingers into all sorts of bizarre positions.
