You are right; the Rasgueado in the end is my modification. The Jota has been published by Bèrben, Italy, F. Tarrega: Opere per Chitarra, Vol. 3 – Composizioni Originali.
i have two questions ; first : that rasgueado in the end is your improvisation , right? second : what edition of the "gran jota " do you play or can you give me your music sheet , because i looked for it everywhere and didnt find it
i love manuel rodinguenz my instructor got me hooked on bright intense sounds monteros are right up there with me aswell.so great taste fellas.i was wanting to know if jota is a piece or a style of music i cant get a strait answer from anywhere...
@michaelerni Absolutely marvelous playing sir! Your playing is flawless and speaks from the heart. I started classical guitar about 3 months ago and you inspire me to keep practicing and listen.
@michaelerni Absolutely marvelous playing sir! Your playing is flawless and speaks from the heart. I really am ashamed of my fellow man. I thank you so very much for taking the time and trouble to both play and post this beautiful Guitar piece and it angers me that people leave you such rude comments. Your playing of this instrument is fantastic and i think that those who don't enjoy such style and grace should shut their mouths and move on to some other video. Thank you again for posting this video and God bless....:)
Your music is so good that you must get some help from a sound engineer to avoid that grave tomb sound. Make "dry" recordings and add reverb later. Your room is not suited for recording.
This is really awesome. There is always room for improvement but I enjoyed your playing. I was looking at the sheet music while you were playing. Tarrega was truly a brilliant composer. Thanks for giving me a glimps of that.

Guess I should have waited until I watched the whole thing. It is meant to be played in ONE take, not 6 or 8 or 12 or however many you did. Really, you can shred, but slow it down and put some HEART into it. In ONE take. You really cheat the viewer here. CUNT.
Awesome... simply amazing i must say.... that drum sound you got with the two strings pushed together was really cool.... please tell me you are a professional? if not... i think you should be... great job man.... ;)
Don't you hate people who get on here and criticize you, like the last guy? You put on a suit and everything! Bravo! Bravo! If I could play like you someday I think I would die a happy man. I bet that jerk who posted in front of me has no idea how much time it and "energy" it took you to learn that piece. Well done!
I really love your interpretation of the jota.. Its imbetween the way David Russell does it, very romantically, and way Virginia Luque does, very spanish. Yours is my favorite one I've heard.. It could use just a little more room to breath and a little bit more piano in some spots.. But you are an incredible player and congratulations!
you have great talent sir.

Of course in my concerts I play the whole piece. For the vid we made several takes to get different settings. Where's the cheating?
michaelerni 2 years ago
Oh man, sorry about that. I was really drunk when I wrote that. But there's a lot of videos of guitarists using trickery. Props to you!
