  • you have great talent sir.

    beautiful

  • You are right; the Rasgueado in the end is my modification. The Jota has been published by Bèrben, Italy, F. Tarrega: Opere per Chitarra, Vol. 3 – Composizioni Originali.

    Best wishes

    Michael

  • i have two questions ; first : that rasgueado in the end is your improvisation , right? second : what edition of the "gran jota " do you play or can you give me your music sheet , because i looked for it everywhere and didnt find it

  • Very well played, with a lot of virtuosity as it should.

  • beautiful

  • Ole!!! maestro

  • Ole!!! maestro

  • lots of editing.

  • Bravo !

  • Great think, when a musician enjoys the picece he plays - it takes a positive effect on the interpretation :)

  • Beauty come from your hands

  • Masterful and magical...enjoyed!

  • great playing!

  • Classic/flamingo/spanish guitar players

The solo'ers of a much more sophisticated world

  • Good work on the timing.

  • Very very nice !! (TS)

  • beautifull play i hope to after i complete my studies

  • Loosen up a bit, it makes you seem like you're trying too hard. Straighten your wrist. You'll see what i mean at 1:28

  • Thanks Pedro. All the best

    Michael

  • @michaelerni Absolutely marvelous playing sir! Your playing is flawless and speaks from the heart. I started classical guitar about 3 months ago and you inspire me to keep practicing and listen.

I wish all of the best,

    Peter

  • @michaelerni Absolutely marvelous playing sir! Your playing is flawless and speaks from the heart. I started classical guitar about 3 months ago and you inspire me to keep practicing and listen carefully to intricate parts of the piece. I subscribed as soon as I finished listening to this beautiful piece.

I wish all of the best,

    Peter

  • Gracias Michael. Me gusta el estilo con que interpretas la gran Jota

Le pones la fuerza y la tecnica que necesita para que luzca

    Felicitaciones!!

    Pedro

  • Thanks a lot for your kind commment on my music.

    All the best Michael

  • I really am ashamed of my fellow man. I thank you so very much for taking the time and trouble to both play and post this beautiful Guitar piece and it angers me that people leave you such rude comments. Your playing of this instrument is fantastic and i think that those who don't enjoy such style and grace should shut their mouths and move on to some other video. Thank you again for posting this video and God bless....:)

  • Your music is so good that you must get some help from a sound engineer to avoid that grave tomb sound. Make "dry" recordings and add reverb later. Your room is not suited for recording.

  • Поучительно слышать и видеть игру зрелого мастера!

  • la rompiste negro!!! awesome!!!

  • Probably 2nd best on youtube next to only LiJie's

  • @yunkies nah..

  • This is the best detailed lesson i have seen for this piece! I had difficulty with right hand technique until now! Thanks Michael you are flawless!

  • Best guitarist that I have ever seen.

    Classical/ Spanish guitar is King...

    Thank You.

  • Bravo!

  • what make is your gtuitar?

    manuel rodinguez is my

  • It is a Marin Montero guitar.

  • not bad...i like Li Jie's performance way better on this song.........

he also didnt do it in one take....very bogus

  • li jie plays like a robot

  • that proves that you only see a performance, but you dont listen to it.

  • This is really awesome. There is always room for improvement but I enjoyed your playing. I was looking at the sheet music while you were playing. Tarrega was truly a brilliant composer. Thanks for giving me a glimps of that.

  • bravo muy bien tocado.q perfecta tecnica!!

    saludos desde Peru

    Bravo maestro!!!

  • Of course in my concerts I play the whole piece. For the vid we made several takes to get different settings. Where's the cheating?

  • Oh man, sorry about that. I was really drunk when I wrote that. But there's a lot of videos of guitarists using trickery. Props to you!

  • Bravo on your technical prowess and ability, but your lack lack of feel and emotion really ruined it for me...

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome... simply amazing i must say.... that drum sound you got with the two strings pushed together was really cool.... please tell me you are a professional? if not... i think you should be... great job man.... ;)

  • Professionals do it in one take. Live. No shit.

  • ahh perfect

it takes a tremendous mastery of the guitar in order to be able to play this piece at this tempo with such accuracy and musicality =)

    5stars

  • impressive!

  • nicely played!

  • De las obras más difíciles de Tárrega.Hay que ser un GRAN MAESTRO para tocarla sin destrozarla.MUY, pero que MUY buen trabajo.FELICIDADES.

  • Very good performance of this difficult piece!

  • so powerful

  • Don't you hate people who get on here and criticize you, like the last guy? You put on a suit and everything! Bravo! Bravo! If I could play like you someday I think I would die a happy man. I bet that jerk who posted in front of me has no idea how much time it and "energy" it took you to learn that piece. Well done!

  • but u are very good to tell the truth and this a creation of tarrega and one of the difficult ones

  • very good but i would like the legata a bit i dont know how but better :P

  • Atingiu o grau maior no estudo violonistico..Fantastico

  • great job dad. i love you, i'm proud of you!! Pippo

  • that was unbelievable!

  • einafch perfekt

  • la mejor interpretación, es muy parecida a la de yepes.

  • I really love your interpretation of the jota.. Its imbetween the way David Russell does it, very romantically, and way Virginia Luque does, very spanish. Yours is my favorite one I've heard.. It could use just a little more room to breath and a little bit more piano in some spots.. But you are an incredible player and congratulations!

  • wow !

    beautiful playing

    lots of energy and colors

    cheeeers !

  • Not bad (5 stars)
