One observes: talent in the United States seldom achieves Izzard's level of mastery. Too much is imitation and commericialization in US comedy . . . it's quite an awkward contrast to the wealh of astute and hysterically funny comedians and actors all across the UK.
Eddie Izzard evinces focus and dedication, ebullience and energy, great physical skill and talent, style, wit, perception, joy.
He lives and breathes creativity. Bravo, Eddie Izzard!
right, so obviously it wasnt talent that got him famous, it was skill. skill that he worked hard on to master. clearly he had to work to where he is rather than just be born with the natural talent to do so (which im sure he had as well). it doesnt always show when it isnt forced out.

It's funny how Will in his sketches or movies is really loud or obnoxious and yappy and in this conversation he seems withdrawn and a kind of a drawl. He's a fake. His every day persona isn't as funny or expressive as who he pretends to be on screen.
@FrettingCajarot so you think every comedian is going to be what they are in the movies? that's ridiculous to think. he's not a fake, he's doing his job.
hahaha i think eddie izzard actually felt sympathy for hitlers broken heart at 6:43 hahahahaha fuck hitlers broken heart and his hurt feelings the man deserves no sympathy
@marshmellow1985 Izzard had a whole recurring gag about how much Hitler sucks in Izzard's Dressed to Kill special. "I can't quite get... de... trees... DAMN! I VILL KILL EVERYONE IN DE WORLD!"
Imma agree with Eddie on Chaplin. His slapstick was 'meh'. The pinnacle of Chaplin's career (to me) was the speech he oral style of Hitler in "The Great Dictator".... too bad he never got a chance to do more speaking roles, his talents trule were wasted as a slapstick silent actor.
@IncredibleGoliath Louie can't help but interrupt, it's just something that happens when you have kids, you get so use to explaining things to them that it becomes a habit. I think it's adorable when he does it :)

@Frankay615 Then that's what he's doing. Just a job. Talent shows up not just when you force it out.

I wonder if Jon has watched Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. If he thinks behind the scenes at SNL is interesting, I bet he'd love Studio 60.
