  • ___ w w w diymagneticmotor com has interesting PLANS~

  • Purchase your own wind turbine kit or parts for your Sovereign independence. Don't be a slave to the electric companies. 1500 Watt all inclusive turbine kit for about $1,500. Go Soveriegn! visit Sovereign's Depot @ sovdepot.com

  • I've got a question. I've got a couple of old box fans out in my shed.

Can I just take the blades from the box fans and build my own turbine? Just askin'

  • @tallred49 You could but Alternators create DC power and houses run on AC power... you would need an inverter. and they tend to be pricey

  • Yes, you can create a homemade generator like this one on the video. All you need to have is a creative mind to develop and design a wind turbine. It's better compared when you buy a ready made wind turbine. Of course, we would like something that is beneficial but without risking our own money, right? This the reason why some countries are now using wind turbines to provide them free electricity. It is effective and was proven safe by many.

  • IM interested in the plans.. Please send to me..

  • I'm interested in the plans. I'm also curious why I couldn't just use an alternator from an auto. Probably showing my ignorance.

  • @tallred49 You can use the GM 10 or 12 SI body and buy the stator and permanent magnet rotors from either of two reputable suppliers on the web. They are Wind Blue Power dot com and Missouri Wind and Solar dot com. Be sure to take all the spaces out of those two names to find them on the internet.

  • that's a nice job man.

  • Nicely done!

  • Kudos for getting off the grid, if at least just a LITTLE bit!

  • Looks pretty good. I would be adding a slip ring collar. A home wind generator can help you to lower or eliminate your home electric bill. Home wind generators are a great way to save money by lowering your use of grid supplied energy.

  • i love this sound :)

  • Do you have it tied into your home or is this strictly for battery use? If you do how would you do that?

  • High speed :)

  • This isn't even the turbine featured in that earth4energy scam ebook. You guys should be really ashamed

  • @pscartozzi

I'm not sure what your talking about. Thats my turbine. I built it a few years ago. Still works great

  • @thorman6

This video is featured on the earth4energy website as being built from their ebook. By the looks of it it's a nice axial flux machine and not the tradmill motor crap featured in their ebook. Are you affiliated with them or just another victim of the scam?

  • @pscartozzi hahahahah , you sir, are an idiot

  • @hynzify

???? why. Because I let the poster know that the scammy earth4energy ebook place stole his video and claimed it was theirs? That makes me an idiot?

  • This is a scam, the "not a scam" article posted by the original writers of the article. Don't give these people any money unless you are a clueless simpleton.

  • This man most likely works for the electric company and doesn't want you to build one so he can keep his Job.

I have build 3 of these to date; 1 for my home,1 for my parents and 1 for my mother in laws for under 500 dollars. WE all save over 1000 a year so it paid for itself in 6 months. This is a super product that's put out by a very trust worthy company that's been around for many decades. In fact they have saved me and my family so much money i actually bought 4 copies for the hell of it

  • I really don't get it. This will produce about enough electricity to light a 10W bulb. So what's the point of it all????

  • On what facts are you basing this assumption thegoosebrain

  • Muito bom. Simples e barato.

    very interesting man !!

i would like to get more info, im from brasil !

    tesla is the future ..

  • great video i need to know how to connect the 9 coils in a turbine if you can help thanks

  • Awesome....

  • I have built 2 wind generator in 2006, each 1.5 kw, each cost me $110 to build in 2006 - i love them... I got full instruction how to make homemade wind power generator - if anyone interested.......

  • I´m definately interested!

  • re: nichen - ok i have instruction..

  • Great! Where is it?

  • I am interested, send me the instruction.

  • me also'

  • Comment removed

  • I'm really interested in trying to build these. I'm interested in the full instructions you have. How can I get them?

  • @makeSOLARPANEL I'm interested :)

  • realy 1,5kW? pls write something about it

  • @makeSOLARPANEL I am interested. How can i get it???

  • Hmm, 150W is still way too low for the average household.

How much did you invest into this windmill, BTW?

  • I probably spent about $80 on this unit. It would ahve been twice that plus batteries if I didn't have a bunch of junk in my garage to use. I definately had mor than $80 worth of fun out of it, so it pays as a hobby but I definately can't compete with the hydro, coal, neuc units. I am convinced that if I lived out of the city I could homebuild enough to go self sufficient but it's not practical where I live. I am currently working on a vertical axis unit. design flaw is costing an extra $80

  • @thorman6

Hi what is the magnetization direction of the magnets you used? Magnetized Through Thickness? What I mean with this question is, if the North/South pole vector is perpendicular to the coil center?

  • @easuter If you had your energy consumption at 1500w and you had 10 with some batteries and a charge controller and inverter, then you'd be ready! This is good stuff for your pocket book and climate change!

  • Good for you! You are an excellent fellow earthling.

    :)

    5star.

Where could one find the plans for such a thing?

  • Lots of info on the internet. If you send me a regular email address I can send you some stuff.

  • @thorman6

Hi, you have some info to send about building a homemade wind turbine pls

    Thanks

    Mac

  • Looking great!

  • what did you hook the three phase to and how. what did you use can you send me a list of parts thank you

  • Use a diode rectifier to convert to dc to charge a battery and then any cheep inverter to convert to household power. If you send me your regular email address I can send you some instructions etc.

  • nice work, it would be neat if you coluld add a centrifical clutch and a pully to your setup to turn a nother altnator for extreme wind conditions to help lower the rpm and produce more power.

  • Looks great!

  • waht kind of wind speeds do you have there, and whats its output. great stuff :]

  • starts charging the battery at about 200 RPM and I'm guessing runs quite often up to 400 or 500 RPM at about 150 watts.

  • so are you storing the power or just adding it to yours from the grid to lower your bill?

  • Just store it and then have a small inverter to run a light and radio in my shop. This is more of a hobby here because I only get a few hours per week of good wind.

  • What kind of magnets did you use? Where did you get your magnet wire? I want to build something similar. Your wind generator looks awesome. Good job.

  • I cheaped out on the magnets. I used ferite (spelling?) magnets from Princess Auto (Canada). They were half the size needed so I glued two of them side by side. If you get the high quality neodymium ones, the gap isn't as critical. The magnet wire comes from a motor rewind supply store. Call any rewind shop and they can tell you a local supplier or else they will just sell it to you for 10% more.

  • Pretty cool. Great job :-)

  • hi - great job - what is the max rotor rpm/wind velocity your generator will tolerate & how do you safeguard against this?

  • 1st: The axle is offset from the pivot therefore the prop tries to turn out of the wind. The tail pivots sidways at a slight upward angle and tries to keep the prop into the wind.

2nd: I built an electonic circuit that adds load to the generator at excesive voltage.

I'm guessing it has survived 700 RPM.
