There was a choon from early 90's with the vocal "you pick me up like a river overflowing, sometimes I feel nice" and a catchy vocal hook to it. Any ideas what it's called?
THE greatest hardcore track ever made! Acen was an absolute genius and Production House just pulled out classic after classic - I loved and still love all the tunes they released. By the way this is hardcore, not jungle or anything else, it's hardcore!
who ever is the one dislike to this tune is a twat!!! iv only jst turned 20 but i still love the old skool tunes! still love about 30% that comes out 2day though!!!!
as some have sed so many ideas going on on one track - i was 26/27 when this came and wasnt ravin altho still listened to the pirates and played the stuff non-stop just wish id kept on ravin till 91/92 it must have been mental - started again in 94-97 and it was great but missed the hardcore era unfortunately...
Labrynth, dalston lane, 36 years old now and hairs on back of me neck standing up just listening 2 this and remembering the vibe, pills and this tune!!!!
I grew up in Texas in the early 90's and the only chance I had to listen to stuff like this was for 4 hours on saturday night, with such a weak signal, you had to drive around in a car to pick it up.
Greatest thing about this track is just how many hooks they layered into it. Most artists at thre time were willing to take two maybe three ideas, loop them over a sped up Amen break and ship it out. Probably my all time fave breakbeat house track of alltime.
Can`t beleive I`ve just stumbled across this belter of a tune.I remember taping it off Stu Allens Key 103 radio show when I was a mere schoolboy. What a cracking tune. That piano is mint.
this tune takes me back to 92 in my mates bedroom, his 2 belt driven decks, some nice hash & we all thought we was going to be the next big dj on the rave scene ! that never happend but we had some quality nights in & out & to those who lived the dream in them days may i just say to you god bless you all & to those who where to young,
tough shit ha ha as these happy days will never return.
I was 14 when I 1st got the original "best of production house" with all these tunes on and tbh they sound better today than back then. My time was 95 onwards but these tunes set me up for 8 years of raving and clubbing :D, better dayz. Peace.
Love this track to bit! Love how the choon builds and changes up! One of the best Produced Old Skool Hardcore tracks I have heard, and definitely one of the most intelligent! As well as these classics, unfortunately there was a lot of dross too!
getting interesting at the camden palace around 11pm ( we started early in those days) staircase people are making it sway and bounce in tune to the music, lots of smilling faces and those dam lazers cutting through the smoke here comes the beat.. nice
2:04 lifted the crowd, allowing them to get their heads together.....a very brief calm in the storm! Would've been some jaws attempting to part company with their owners!
i was born in 1982, i`ll be 26 in a few days, and when those tunes came out, i still was about 8 or 9, and was raving like a little bastard on XTC.....hahahaha great times, miss them :(
