Those bridges are just ordinary bridges that can be found anywhere.There is no marvel in them.Now a bridge built in 4 years over water almost 30miles long for 2billion is something to marvel about. But yeah, for the CPC whose legitimacy depends on its performance and its ability to maintain China's sovereignty (remember that parts of China was carved up between the Western powers despite it being the world's most powerful civilization prior to the mid 1500s, so sovereignty is a very important issue for the Chinese people), mistakes are things they try to avoid since these can affect stability. But they're still the best option for now.
