In the 70's as a "democrat", tried to deny legal counsel to Nixon in an apparent effort to give him grounds for appeal. Attempt failed.

In the 80's, was on the board of Wal-Mart during their meteoric rise to infamy. Oh, and let's not forget about Mena.

In the 90's, divisive politics lost the House to the Repugs. Whitewater. Monica.

In the 00's, becomes a carpetbagger senator that voted for the Iraq War and soon Iran.
