Loved the video!! I have been coloring my natural hair to cover up the gray for years. I actually did not color it recently and my gray is showing. I have to change my thinking because gray hair was negative to me, I now am learning to accept my gray hair and love it. I am looking forward to a new road in my journey!! Thanks love your videos!!!!
I know I really loved my short haircut. I thought it was spunky and fun. Guys seem to think that short hair means that you can't grow hair. I've read somewhere that long haired women are considered more fertile. So it sends an subconscious message to men, similar to wide hips and large breasts.
Its sad that we as Black Women have HAD to struggle with OUR hair and for OUR hair. Redefining ourselves and our meaning. Its so hard todays world when you are questioned by your own about your OWN. Ive had a few experiences with White men that have simply looked passed my hair. Ive had more brothas just stop and there tracks and say to me " AWWW NAW WHAT DID YOU DO?," and I simply answered .I just simply cut MY hair. Im not my hair. Im more than that, cant you see?
Now that's what I'm talking bout - interesting/substantive, dialogue! I agree with everything u said except one. I'm not sure that long hair is more indigenous to other races than to blacks. Yeah, I know that we've had shorter rather than longer hair, but that may have been due to lack of hair care knowledge more than anything else. If this is true, then what wud make short nappy hair more desirable than long nappy hair? I think it wud just be a matter of preference. What say you???
I dont know whats wrong with them West Coast Bros. but when I first cut my locs about 6yrs ago brothers were going crazy over my little bald head. Us women got to set the standard not these men. If more of us carry the short natural like we know we are looking hot then the brothers will follow too. Now I aint got to worry bout it cause my head is for my hubby but even he had to get over the long hair thing too. He didnt have no choice cause I do what I want. lol!
Your skin looks great but I dont agree with the long hair fact. Women of color have long hair jus like any race of women. So we can be natural and have long hair I look at as plus. Its jus like u r sayin only long hair belongs to caucasian women and that is jus not true.

U r right on the mark my sista! Then when they stop the relaxers they go and dye there hair and still say that they r natural because they don't have a relaxer.
ive been naturally short for 12 years now and i love it and i try not to use anything that i cant consume. the only store bought product that i will use is shea moisture and it only has 3 ingredients. and as far as the men go i get approached often and men love it. oh yea u can get shea moisture at target for $10.00
