  • I Wan't this song to be my country's National Anthem.

Me gustaría que esta canción fuera el himno nacional de mi país.

    ;D

  • Special x

  • 素晴らしいトリップ感。。。

  • heaven.

  • A beautiful lullaby.

  • Love the shots of the audience. So cool.

  • may we all take a second, bow our heads and gaze at our shoes in honor of this most peculiar band...

  • I'm crying

  • BB is stunning isn't she?

  • @CRZ38L The word "poise" seems to be invented for her.

  • i can't decide which is more stunning; the music or bilinda..

  • don't care if i am the hundredth person to say this is simply mind blowing. one of my favorite shoegaze songs from my all time favorite bands.

  • Way back when this was out in early in 91, I realized that listening to this album while coming down from a trip untangled my mind.

  • @chrisdeffer definetley man. it always lightens my mind after and during a trip. takes me to places i never knew existed if you know what i mean

  • i REEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLY wish this video was made 15 years ago ;(

  • i really wish i was there :((((

  • yeah i was there!

  • 遠くを見つめていそうで実は何も見ていない瞳が素晴らしい。

  • obviously this has absolutely nothing on actually experiencing them live and getting your eardrums blown to pieces, but it'll do :3

  • so this is... the only professionally recorded live footage of MBV that exists right now? cool

  • Possibly the single best rock song ever composed, definitely the best shoegaze track.

  • this band, this CD is amazing!

  • Blinda Butcher remains the sexiest woman in rock.

  • @CultureFusionSite bitch please, kim gordon ftw <3

  • AMAZING AMAZING!

  • 「パチンコ屋なんてマイブラッディヴァレンタインでしょ」

    なるほどですね

  • beautiful music.I love 90s.

  • Turn it all the way up... beauty and the beast.

  • Loveless is the best piece of music ever. Fucking brilliant!

  • wheres the whole concert of this?!?!? there has to be a full pro shot of this whole thing, not just one song

  • @ShaunMacSound lmfao

  • chills.

  • I don't get it. Is there an orchestra pit with the other 700 guitar players strumming along that I'm not seeing?

  • 53 people don't know what music really is.

  • 世界二大ブッチャーの一人なだけあって、ビリンダは美しい!

    それとは全く無関係に、これ演奏してないじゃんすか。わざわざ出かけてCD聴かされたらたまらんわ。

  • I saw them in Toronto in March of '92 -- might be the only show I ever went to where I wondered oh-so-briefly if i shouldn't have taken earplugs...like standing behind the engines of a jet for Bliss Airlines...This was shortly after having seen shows by the Kodo Drummers and Midori, and just before seeing Yo-Yo Ma -- it was an interesting month... :)

  • yisus craist!!!! biutiful!!! son ,,.... que hermoso

  • Absolutely wonderful!

  • this is on DVD??

  • Let's set up a protest against the not-releasing of live MBV recordings

  • @ghaand1994 or a new fucking album that Kevin has been promising since they toured again. Grrrrr.

  • is that girl in hole?

  • aggrrrreeeee!.... one of the best love songs ever....

  • BUT. listening to MBV during having sex - this must be, you know. transcendent

  • what the fuck

  • I think this band is better than drugs and sex. not that I tried both, but I think MBV is enough for life

  • @ghaand1994 I can totally agree with you on that. And this is coming from someone who has had sex and drugs.

  • @PacificRunaway : I second this. Nothing better than LSD, sex, and MBV.

  • @daxterdot Please -- don't even drag LSD and sex into the equation.... ;)

  • @PetertheImpaler Of course, MBV in any situation is the best.

  • easily one of my favourite bands.................MBV are immortal.

  • kevin sheilds has such an awesome and original style of composing music. he totally made lost in translation what it was.

  • WTF at 4:25 there's a flipping bear on the right, just chilling to some MBV...

  • @melkmeintogepi hahaha I didn't even notice it. Good eye!

  • What amps is shields using?!!?!

  • Comment removed

  • @BAlva8 Go to guitargeek . com. They have all of his rig configurations listed as well as Bilinda's. Looks like a mixture of Marshall, Hiwatt and Vox amp/head combos here.

  • i fantasize about roller-blading in summer rain listening to MBV..............all night long....

  • so how about the people who filmed this not be idiots and release a stinking dvd of this whole set!!!!!!! now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GeoAl09 Agreed. I want to hear I Only Said live!!

  • @GeoAl09 amen to that!

  • @ttsnr - this is AMAZING - thanks very much for posting it up.

I thought there was no properly-filmed broadcast footage of them until I saw this. I was hoping they would play on a television programme in the studio at the time of this tour.

Do you know how I can get a DVD of the entire set from Fuji?

  • Bilinda hasn't aged one bit. Still beautiful!

  • Absolutely incredible. thanks for posting!

  • NNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • @echobears

    WWWWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • After listening to Jedward and Blue singing their Euro vision songs, I had to come listen to this song.

  • oh shoegaze forever! and ever and ever!!! ¡'-_-'¡

  • I can see why The Smashing Pumpkins listed them as an influence. :-D

  • Good ~Think the loudest band I've seen in London has been SWANS, volume is integral to their stuff otherwise it would be faintly ridiculous. Hopefully I can see MBV in London some day...........

  • How loud are they? I think that is very important.

  • @rothkowitz I think when it gets to the point where the sound rattles your entire body while you trip out on the music sort of makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

  • Amazing quality A/V, the best i ve seen on a MBV show. Anyone knows if is available the whole gig?

  • Is it just me or does anyone else feel their arse muscles expand and contract in time with kevin's pitch bending?

  • @BeTheDeathOfMe Ewwww. yes.

  • Lets not break with tradition here. 47 people have Bieber Fever.

    Me - I'm levitating.

  • ...a glow of light around me!!

  • 46 people thought this band were too loud

  • beauty and sublimity

  • Does anyone know if the whole show was filmed?

  • This is way better than the recorded version.

  • Usually shoegazers have a lot of pedals... hence the name.

  • The Japanese sure as hell know how to rig audio at Fuji Rock!!!

  • got to be alternate tuning

  • @malkinmario Some pedals and shit. I Think he uses alternate tuning too.

  • any clue how he is playing that? pedals?

  • @malkinmario an ungodly amount of pedals

  • @Unadapted I actually dont think he has that many, its mostly him playing with the whammy bar and a reverse echo. either way its absolutely amazing

  • @thirdeyeblind3 ive seen them live twice, both front row.. and from what i saw.. he has a ridiculous set up.. i can ask my friend for specifics if youd like.. he knows more than i do about which ones he uses. but it's also about how he strums.. thats what produces the glideee

  • god's house band

  • I both love and hate this video. I love it because its good but hate it because it means there is more footage I cannot see.

  • love it. definitely his greatest song. best song ever made

  • They have to be one of the loudest bands ever.

  • this is the greatest thing I have ever heard while high.I cried a little bit it was so beautiful.

  • MagCynic clearly sounds terrible.

  • Bilinda Butcher will still be hot when she's 75

  • @browe404 stupid fucking yankee fag, that's beauty, and not "hot".

  • Belinda looks good.

  • That guy's guitar clearly sounds terrible.

  • @MagCynic

Because you're using laptop speakers. Buy the album and use a hi-fi (Y)

  • @BeTheDeathOfMe

Negatory. I'm using decent speakers and sub. Tell me exactly how his guitar sounds pleasant to your ears. I put on headphones and listen to this for 30 seconds then turn it off and the silence is like heaven to my ears.

  • @MagCynic

I'll admit it sounds a bit crunchy on here. mbv aren't really a live band, it's realy hard to create the same tone at a festival he would on the album. Don't you like the album version either?

  • @BeTheDeathOfMe mbv aren't really a live band? don't make me laugh....

  • @64Fathoms

I've seen them and they are pretty fucking amazing live. I guess I phrased that wrong. I just don't think that they can replicate the loveless era sound live. And I don't like people only judging them on live videos when they have a whole other level of feeling to their sound on the album where kevin has had the chance to spend months mixing it.

  • @MagCynic It's called noise pop. NOISE.

  • @MagCynic I know what you're saying. I get the same feeling when I hear Disturbed or BLS.

  • @MagCynic

Subjectively. Preference to sound is absolutely subjective. You just sound like an idiot when you just come on here and state your opinion as a fact. This music is so textural, so you're not gunna find your typical guitar tones. Be more open minded friendo.

  • @dillparr Subjective? I know white noise when I hear it. If you're gonna play a guitar it should sound like you're playing a guitar. If not then what's the point? There are some other MBV songs that sound good; this one doesn't, and I imagine if you went up to people with an Ipod and headphones to let them sample it they'd say the same thing that I'm saying.

  • @MagCynic Forgive my brother for his previous post, whether correct or not. He has been abusing my profile by posting responses (read: engaging in Internet arguments) without my permission and I am sick of getting responses to comments I did not post; responses which are usually malicious or aggressive. I will inform him of your response, and if he wishes to continue "debating" with you, he can use his own profile. Sorry for the bother.

    /nugatory argument.

  • @MagCynic

music is organised sound. opinion is opinion, and not fact - so don't go around saying what things 'should' sound like, because you sound like a close-minded asshat

  • @MagCynic Only you clearly don't "know white noise" when you hear it because pitch doesn't come into it when you are dealing with white noise and I think if you listen you'll clearly hear changes in pitch here. What yo mean is you can't get your head around it and so it makes no sense to you.But there are plenty of people to whom it makes perfect sense. And if everyone had your opinion of 'a guitar should sound like a guitar' then there'd have never been the fuzzbox or the wah-wah.So think on...

  • @MagCynic If you're gonna play a guitar it should sound like you're playing a guitar.

Ha! Someone should've told that to Hendrix ! Why do you even bother listening to electric guitar then?

  • fucking orgasmic

  • I tingle all over when I hear this track. The layers of melodies, percussion & MBV feedback combine perfectly with Belinda's lush vocals. (Thanks for the youtube)

  • One of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.

  • Sonic soothing blissful hypnotic sound

    F00oken brilliant

  • cool.

  • sounds a little like never my love

  • i was there

    i feel happy

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! THIS VIDEO LIVE IS AWESOME <3

  • my favorite MBV song performed so damn well live. Finally we get to hear some new live shows from them after years of inactivity, hurrah!

  • very few things in this world are as beautiful as this

  • I remember when I first got this album a while back..it took a couple of listens to grow on me, but now Loveless is one of my favourite albums ever. It's so beautiful.

  • @kazoorocketman54 I already had the 'You Made Me Realise" 12" so I was quite familiar with how (for want of a better phrase) fucked up mbv's music was and still when I got Loveless home and dropped the stylus on the record and Only Shallow struck up I thought my record player was broken.Years later I read that the staff at the Creation office thought the advance cassette they got of some of the Loveless era stuff was wonky also.

  • belinda butcher is sooo hot

  • fucking yes.

  • more of these videos¡ please

  • There are tears on my keyboard from hearing Bilinda Butchers beautiful voice do what it does best.

  • THIS IS the best video on youtube !

  • I was waiting for them to start playing, but no luck this time :P

  • I think the fact that it can be so noisy yet so beautiful is what does it for me...

  • unreal, unfortunately some people just dont get it!

  • @DecaffinatedBoy what's there to get? is it explainable?

  • is everyone being serious right now? the guitar makes me want to slit the throats of small animals

  • @whoamancool EXACTLYY!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE

  • @whoamancool One man's trash is another man's treasure.

This is incredibly gorgeous and I'm sorry that you can't hear that.

  • @cvijetics help me! what do you hear that i don't? like, this literally makes my brain uneasy and uncomfortable

  • @whoamancool I don't know. It is definitely an acquired taste and certainly not everyone's cup of tea. If you want to get into the whole wall of sound/shoegaze genre it I'd suggest you start by getting familiar with the Cocteau Twins first.

  • @cvijetics Why would you assume someone who listens to this is NOT familiar with the Cocteau Twins? I love both bands, but their tonal approaches are aeons apart. If MBV had a male vocalist you might not be so quick to dismiss them. And I have NEVER considered the twins as a wall of sound group, and I've seen them live.

  • @pfoster89

Indeed. Cocteau Twins are hardly "wall of sound" nor shoegaze. I love them dearly, but cvijetics hardly knows what he's talking about.

  • @fuckthisfuckbullshit I think you both misunderstood me. Of course The Cocteau Twins are NOT wall of sound. DUH.

    I was replying to "whoamancool"

He said he could not get into this type of music. He said it was too rough and abrasive. I was suggesting a starting point for him.

The cocteau twins guitar work (not the sound) is pretty much what made shoegaze, so you can both shut the hell up now, OK.

  • @cvijetics

I'll speak as much as I like, kid. Made shoegaze? Exaggeration. Influential, yes.

  • Best live video on youtube defo!

  • Lucky Japanese! I thought they were ghosts...She's a damn good looking ghost though! MBV - a great, great, great band!

  • cutest singer ever.

    best band ever.

  • i dont think im ready to watch this video

  • god...

  • MILF

  • this song killed my dog.......

  • @laurlaurbby songs don't kill dogs. I kill dogs, with songs.

  • I can has vacuum cleaner?

  • it's like being on a plane going down, feeling safe (:

  • Seldom does a track represent a contrast between such violence and beauty. Listen to this song loud.

  • @smashley233 I've tried mate. I've been listening to this album since early 90s, trying to get into it. I get what you are saying, but I can't enjoy it. It gives me a headache.

  • loveless. best album ever?

  • loveless. best album ever?

  • Beautiful.

  • I've listened to this song and have always thought that it was very sensual. Decided to figure out the lyrics, and now it's the sexiest song in the entire world for me.

  • Their single best song.

Live version is superb but the recorded version is on another level entirely, with the flute and processed feedback.

  • this is love

  • Some of MBV songs I really loved, but this one is crap. I can do this annoying sound with a guitar and say "uuuuhhhh" too... I like MBV, but I can't agree this "song" is good.

  • Perfection <3<3<3
