Bass Guitar Lesson #15: Matching Chords with The Major Modes

Thanks for posting this. I'm studying in exactly this space. I've played for ever but have decided to get this stuff down properly at last. I've been tinkering with modes but not always sure when to use which mode against which chord.  Thanks very much for the assist.

I say this with all due respect sir, as you are very much an accomplished, notable player.. But do you think you could post some videos with greater quality? these sound horrible.. I know you must have better audio/video equipment then that.. btw is that a Bunny Brunel signature bass?

there is nothing random about those chords, your hearing is random!

idk, seeing as he's going into 11th chords before doing the basic circle of fourths. to me, even playing jazz bass for more than 5 years, thats pretty random. random hearing? haha

Lol... you just can hear decimation of the ultra low audio bit rate... I think it's less than 8 bit, lmao.

It would sound pretty cool in some electro music context, though :P

It is only due to my high respect and admiration for Mr. Brunel that I am willing to watch all 8 minutes of this camera phone quality video with the worst sound I've ever heard. This is for the hardcore student - it's not for entertainment, that's for sure. :-)  Unfortunately, you'll have to endure it over and over again to get all the knowledge!
