you don't need a toothpick (it'll probably just damage your touch screen) just use the stylus. It worked for me just gently poking the corner with the stylus.

My friend in Japan has contacted Nintendo over there and asked about what the Secret Simple Start Wi-Fi Button is. Nintendo said that they do NOT recommend that you play around with it. Soon after my friend was reading in a video game magazine that the Secret Simple Start Wi-Fi Button will be used for future (Very soon in Japan) internet connections, direct connection to the Nintendo Wii (So that it can be used for Wii games as a controller or device) and other things.

It will be fun to see TV on the DS or to play SEGA Genesis, Turbo Grafix, & other old school video games on the DS like you can do on the Wii. And this will soon happen in Japan if what my friend in Japan is saying is true.

It doesn't work on my DS. I bet Nintendo added this hidden "feature" in a later firmware revision, because I got my DS (old kind) the first week they came out, so mine has firmware revision 1. Those who have gotten it to work, do the PictoChat test, pull out the DS card while in Pictochat, the color of the screen indicates fw version.  If it just locks up (screens don't blank to solid color) you have FW 1.

On the japanese version on the WiFi set up menu the buttons are set up like this [------1------] [-2-][-3-][-4-] 1=search or an access point 2= AOSS 3= Quick Start WIFI 4= Man.Config. but when you put an english game in and go to the set up menu it is like this [------1------] [--2--][--4--]
