Well, they lied to us. Last year we could have got a box nearly for free. I need 6 boxes. Comcast is "giving" me two for free. I was already paying for one. The other three will cost me $72 per year plus tax. Thank you comcast for screwing us.
if anyone has one of those DTA boxes theres a secret menu on them press and hold the info key and you can get into this sort of menu that shows all the stats of the box. im not sure what else this does I didnt want to mess up anything or get in trouble so you are on your own with this one you're welcome to try this but if you do its at your own risk. YOU DID NOT HEAR THIS FROM ME YOU HEARD IT FROM THE INTERNET! I found this by accident I was messing with the remote and this happened.
