Rain is sick he isn't overpowered he just has good moves that you could do lots of combos off of. Like in Mortal Kombat Trilogy with the one were he shoots the water ball, you could uppercut the oppenent after that or kick for almost the entire time.

All kombatants have combo restrictions in which special moves will not work after a certain number of hits in a combo or in certain cases. An example of this is when Classic Sub-Zero's Freeze Ball does not work after his pop-up link combo. Rain's Super Roundhouse is done as a standard roundhouse kick after a long combo.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. However, Rain, in MKT, was a "cheap" character. His infinite is easy, and setting it up is also easy. One Force Ball, or Lightning, and it's over. You could also combo into his infinite on the PSX version of MKT. I'm pretty sure he's the same for all of the 2D MK games.

well as long as you know you suck, haha. but thanks for being civil and not cursing. the fact of the matter is, human smoke can perform and 50% and up combo on any character at anytime and anywhere on the stage. ermac relies on the corner for his 100% combos. robo smoke has the spear which makes a huge difference; not to mention he can go invisible. both smokes have air throws which are HUGE advantages in combos and practical play.

Here is what I do:

Lightning, Water Ball, Special Roundhouse, Uppercut.

Every CPU (even the bosses) won't block that Water Ball move. Use the Water Ball on Motaro and you can instantly control him. Move Motaro next to you and then when he drops, do an uppercut. Repeat step 1 and 2.

yup rain is pretty awesome. i beat every rank with him without even taking any damage. but the combo with the rain drop thing that he has is good too. if it touches the opponent you can manipulate him/her for a little (a bit like telekinesis) - you just position him/her for an uppercut and BAM!!! and then you do it all over again :)

I don't mean to sound picky, but it's best not to leave confusion to others. So you might wanna change the title there. And Noob Saibot is way cheesy than Rain. Just do the teleport slam and connect it with the cloud fireball, beat their ass, and time this right and repeat. Before the cloud goes away use the teleport slam and cloud fireball. It's all in timing. It's so ridiculous.
