I use Linux Mint , and Linux Ubuntu on my PC . Linux is cooler looking than Mac , and Windows. There are over 700 distributions of Linux and most of them are free. Look up a video on youtube called "Compiz and debian lenny 5.0". Android phones, TiVo , Amazon Kindle, Nook, , Printers, Supercomputers, Severs, and the PlayStation Network are ALL powered by Linux . So while Windows, and Mac are fighting Linux is running 92% of the worlds Supercomputers.

Sorry i also forgot to mention that Macs (laptops) also have a better battery life than PC laptops without sacrificing bulkiness. Macs offer you up to 10 hours whereas a standard battery in a pc only offers 3-4 with high end, bulky, ones giving you a max of 6 hours. My mac gives me 5:30 with multiple media applications open. Also mac's are just plain sexy so what isnt there to love? once again only con for Macs are the price, and that doesnt matter if you have money ...
Also macs have a way better operating system and there have been multiple studies who's findings indicate that the general public prefer to use macs over windows. Macs only downside is the price, other than that they are genuinely the better computer. i don't even know why this is such a common question. as to quality, PC wins. they are entirely customizable, while Macs come in a few colors [an extra 100 bucks for the cool colors mind you]. Macs are, admittedly, good. but they're good for people who just want a simple computer that works. PC's are better [or worse] because they are entirely under your control. you can add things to them AFTER you buy them without sending it to the manufacturer. mac users aren't inferior, only less involved.
Mac because of it's better graphic editing software XD but i'm not a huge fan of it. I like PC better beause it's more compatable with other things. PC has a more modern feel to it, a mac has a more smooth feel to it.

PC will always be the winner; you can customise them better to cater for your usage preference, much cheaper than Macs as well, which have the prices massively inflated; even considering the high end stuff that it'll have it's still overpriced, if you built a computer from scratch it's usually more than half the price cheaper for the exact same technology. In comparison to the OS I feel windows (although breaks a lot) feels more like you're doing your own thing whereas MACs guide you too much
i have mac+pc.
i also have linux pc's i also make my own from of linux, NNOS.
i think they all do as they were designed so it is purely preference..

The kindle is ran on a custom os made by amazon.
Saying supercomputers is innacurate because most of them run on government made operating systems we don't even know about.
And the playstation network runs on a custom OS designed for the ps3.

Linux means a free and open source operating system.
Android is free so its a linux,
The ps3 os is open source and free so its a linux.
It depends on your jurisdiction of linux.
