This is clearly an exhibition. The interesting thing is i think the referee is the famous thurston's referee Tom Chambers, who was regarded in the 1920s and 1930s as the best billiards referee. Great players, great play. Thanks so much for posting.
A wonderful exhibition of billiards which not only shows magnificent play but which allows us to contrast the playing styles of the past with today's post-Joe Davis stance, bridge length, cueing and cue grip. Did you notice that their chin is not always scraping their chins?? It is so wonderful to see footage of these great players from the past - it would be great so see more if there is more available.
