Social sciences study the phenomenon of groups, individual behaviors, governming, social and cultural factors. In academia it is respected as just that a social science, not to be confused with the natural sciences such as biological or chemical sciences. There are theories and analysis behind social sciences.

Well, if your offended by how I'm claiming that poli sci is not a real science, you should at least consider how offended the real scientists and engineers are,the people who do practice science. To have this pseudo-scientific liberal arts major be branded and associated with the name "science", is a slap in the face to the scientific community.

This description of the political process is so corporate, made for TV. Its claim that money only buys you access, with abuse only at the fringes, is incredibly naïve. But say Tumans mirage is true, what still remains is that the concentrations of private power decide who can successfully run for office, no different than the supreme leader in Iran. How much money will a politician with an anti-corporate elite agenda be able to raise, Tuman?

ya know what's interesting; listen around 32:00 -32:30: he mentions bad politics. I heard John Maccain give say that
