I played adept at my friend's house, they suck! I have ME2 and adepts are my favourite class in the second. I'm about to get the first one and I'm gonna play as a soldier.
I Got Mass efect 1 today,and i instaled it,but i got horrible lag !I dont know what is happening,when i enter the game ,in main menu ,it lags a lot,in game also.My PC is good,i run crysis on max,cod 6,bioshock 2,even a mass efect 2 works with about 80fps,but freaking mass efect 1 lags!I saw that someone also have same problems like me,but i dont know what to do!CAN someone help me please?I
Funny thing is,i got masss efect 2 recentlu,and played it about 15 hours,and i liked it a lot,it has very good graphics,its not so hardware demanding,extra gameplay,shooting,quests,dialougs and ALL! And i MUST get mass efect 1 to fill the story up! I LOVE THESE 2 games!

This game is so cool. I played like 3 games as a Sentinel back in 2007-2008 (got to level 60), got bored and decided to play again just recently, playing as a Soldier now. It feels weird not having biotics or anything but it's cool using an assault rifle and stuff instead of just a pistol.

adept, technician, vanguard, infiltraitor or sentinel cant handle the AR without specialisation
read the description of the class when you choose it while creating ur character
u don't have to cuz there's an achievement think its name is "Weapon Mastery : Assault Rifle" or something, 4 this achiev u have to kill 75 enemies with an AR, with a soldier or example and when u've got that achiev u can teach it to other characters as additional talent, u only have to relaunch a game with ur adept or somehthing with importing ur saved game
@Sbrff ok, the game usally says untrained because only certain classes can be trained with certain weapons (i.e. infiltrator is train in pistol and sniper, so it depends what class you are)
to buy stuff in mass effect 1 you need to talk to people who can sell stuff, theres one in the cargo bay of the normandy, to the right of the elevator and there are others dotted around the world, like in the lower wards. all you need to do is talk to them and access it through the dialog screens.
no, its best to keep the best guns in each catagory especially if your a soldier as you can use them all. the way to sell is the worse guns first. the best way to see this is by the number the guns name has on it.
the way i do it is by seeing which number every one in my squad is up to (lets say its v/5) and then sell everything below the level below that (so it would be iii/3 and below) then you always have a spare few guns for the other members of your squad your not using.
does any1 no how to create a new class but have the same equipment from another class like for instance i have a level 54 soldier and i want to put that equipment on a new class that i start with
snipe from a distance, close in with a shotgun and carnage, once u rocket the toughest enemy, switch to assault rifle and overkill. Usually everyone is dead before overkill runs out and i'll have either carnage or overkill ready to use for the next room =]
Soldier isn't too good of a class. Sure, rocking with every weapon is cool and all, but you just don't have too much going for you outside of shooting. Heavy armor is pretty bad ass though.
The game is quite linear and repetitive if you do all the side missions like I do. Never got to finish the game because it was too damn tedious at one point. Just finished downloading again , gonna try to finish it this time.
@deadmanwalking97 You can't get training for the assault rifle as infiltrator but what you can do is unlock the achievement by getting 150 kills with the assault rifle on soldier. Then you can use assault rifle training for any class.
i agree. the infiltrator is my favorite class. but i've played the other classes like the vanguard (which is nearly opposite of the sniper) and i've had fun with it too. gameplay is a whole lot different with each class and that gives you a lot of room to fit the game to your style.

Man, bioware really flexed their muscles with this one. I mean, nevermidn the story, Bioware is known for that anyway (which is usually the best you can get in a game), but they made this game so action heavy it's rediculous. Really, there is no game like it, and Bioware deserves a lot of praise for flawlessly blending two excellent genres on their first attempt.

My favorite classes are Soldier/Commando and Sentinel/Medic.
I pick Commando over Shock Trooper simply because soldier's are such tank's they really don't need anymore defense. Sentinel's are great because of all their abilities. I get them a shotgun as a bonus skill for some power. I turn them into a medic as I only level up specter training a few points, I instead use the medic ability to revive fallen team mates just by using medpacks. You become invincible, because you heal so easily.
I might be mistaken about this but Im pretty sure that EA just bought mass effects developers and are planning to release it to ps3.I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG but I read it in a magazine.
All of Shepard's classes has pistol training, so you'll always be able to zoom in with that. Otherwise, you can't zoom in unless your class has a specialization in the weapon in question. Since Soldier has every specialization, it can zoom in regardless of weapon.
Infiltrator specializes in sniping, so it can zoom in with the Rifle, but nothing else save the pistol. Vanguards use shotguns, so you can zoom in with that by default, but not with Sniper Rifles, etc.
If yo go to the higher difficulty like hardcore and insane you have to use cover or you will be killed pretty fast but on the lower difficulty i know what your talking about there is no need for cover

If you choose to do all of the side missions along with the main quest and you really explore all of the worlds you can land on, I would say it could take a good 25-30 hours. BUT... You will most likely want to play through with the same character at least once with your new abilities you get to choose from. Not to mention all of the new and different armor and weapons you can get. I am on my third play through and my time it at 65 hours...
lol, i beat oblivion without the daedra quest and all that stuff in 80 hours, mass effect is short compared to oblivion but is freaking awsomee in action!! omfgggg
great game, but keep in mind that it's an action RPG, not a straight action title, so don't expect gears of war here. regardless, mass effect's action system is a significant step-up from previous titles, and offers a deep, detailed story and a lengthy single-player experience.
plus, even major game stores are selling it for $20 cheaper than its original price ($39.99).
Soldier class is awesome in that they're the only class with heavy armor, I like Engineers the most though cos I like being a medic and owning organic enemies with my improved Neural Shock, mwahahahaha
Yeah, I'm a big fan of shooters like Halo 3. When I first played through the mission on Eden Prime, I thought the shooting was horrible. After I started upgrading my weapons and armor, I really got into it. I wanted the characters to shut up just so I could fight some more, and I did practically every side quest I was given. Soldier class FTW!
Although people say that the action is poor. I thought it was really fun and often thrilling. The shooting is a lot like Gears of War or Ghost Recon. You do have to juggle some shit around, but once you get used to it, you can't wait for the next fight.
this agme is real time action with squad control and its not any of that timed shit like in knights of the old republic hope that answers some questions

killzone 2 got 9.3 in score, and GOW got 9.5, so no fanboyism here, just facts.
it even got the same graphic score as KZ2.

well nobody can prove anything, but it's just obvious. just look at GTA4 for example. when comparing the 2 systems for GTA4, Gametrailers purposely show off some Ps3 glitches, like buildings popping up......and many more

You probably don't know yet, but Gametrailers is a XBOX fan site. They have an article about it, and it's so obvious because in their 360/ps3 comparison videos, they always show the Ps3's glitches

Little Big Planet isn't an EPIC GAME, but its fun enough.
Killzone 1 sucked, and Sony begged for a trade between Killzone 2 and Gears of War so shut up.

Man, bioware really flexed their muscles with this one. I mean, nevermidn the story, Bioware is known for that anyway (which is usually the best you can get in a game), but they made this game so action heavy it's rediculous. Really, there is no game like it, and Bioware deserves a lot of praise for flawlessly blending two excellent genres on their first attempt.

My favorite classes are Soldier/Commando and Sentinel/Medic.
I pick Commando over Shock Trooper simply because soldier's are such tank's they really don't need anymore defense. Sentinel's are great because of all their abilities. I get them a shotgun as a bonus skill for some power. I turn them into a medic as I only level up specter training a few points, I instead use the medic ability to revive fallen team mates just by using medpacks. You become invincible, because you heal so easily.

lol yo I agree, mostly because I like running into them and being able to hit them like a hammer. Plus soliders are able to wear heavy armor.

I might be mistaken about this but Im pretty sure that EA just bought mass effects developers and are planning to release it to ps3.I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG but I read it in a magazine.

All of Shepard's classes has pistol training, so you'll always be able to zoom in with that. Otherwise, you can't zoom in unless your class has a specialization in the weapon in question. Since Soldier has every specialization, it can zoom in regardless of weapon.
Infiltrator specializes in sniping, so it can zoom in with the Rifle, but nothing else save the pistol. Vanguards use shotguns, so you can zoom in with that by default, but not with Sniper Rifles, etc.

If yo go to the higher difficulty like hardcore and insane you have to use cover or you will be killed pretty fast but on the lower difficulty i know what your talking about there is no need for cover

If you choose to do all of the side missions along with the main quest and you really explore all of the worlds you can land on, I would say it could take a good 25-30 hours. BUT... You will most likely want to play through with the same character at least once with your new abilities you get to choose from. Not to mention all of the new and different armor and weapons you can get. I am on my third play through and my time it at 65 hours...

great game, but keep in mind that it's an action RPG, not a straight action title, so don't expect gears of war here. regardless, mass effect's action system is a significant step-up from previous titles, and offers a deep, detailed story and a lengthy single-player experience.
plus, even major game stores are selling it for $20 cheaper than its original price ($39.99).

Soldier class is awesome in that they're the only class with heavy armor, I like Engineers the most though cos I like being a medic and owning organic enemies with my improved Neural Shock, mwahahahaha

They were using the skill Assassination. It keeps your aim steady and increases the damage done by the sniper rifle for one shot.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of shooters like Halo 3. When I first played through the mission on Eden Prime, I thought the shooting was horrible. After I started upgrading my weapons and armor, I really got into it. I wanted the characters to shut up just so I could fight some more, and I did practically every side quest I was given. Soldier class FTW!

Although people say that the action is poor. I thought it was really fun and often thrilling. The shooting is a lot like Gears of War or Ghost Recon. You do have to juggle some shit around, but once you get used to it, you can't wait for the next fight.
