  • Masters still are MASTERS!!! Just when ALL d.j.'s thought it was SAFE!!! I'm glad I grew up in my era to not only see this but DO this!!!! Peace!! D.J. FMKG

  • If you scratch. Even the most minimal amount. Even if you just use a sampled sound of scratching in your own music. If you're a fan of QBert etc. If you're wowed by the innovations of Vestax. You should bow down to Grand Wizard Theodore.

  • The Master! of Scratch!

  • he is just playing a fuckin record, wtf is it so cool :)))

  • @sidsque He's "Needle Dropping" blindfolded. Which means he's picking up the needle and dropping it exactly where the beat lands, which is beyond hard.

  • @sidsque You obviously don't understand "needle dropping". LOOK! at what he is doing, PAY ATTENTION!!

  • he was the first !

  • Holy shit! that was insane

  • GRAND WIZARD THEODORE IS DEWIN DA DAMN THANG !!!!!!

  • OMG!!!! I quit!!!! Im bout to start all ova!!!! What Da Hell!!!! I've been scratching for some time now & This Shit Right Here... this Shit Right Here!!!! Yo big Up To All My Ol' Skool Dj's! much Respest

  • OMG , i dont even scratch but this is just insane !! somebody please remove the dislike button

  • OMG , i dont even scratch but this is just insane !! somebody please remove the dislike button

  • thats the shit :-)

  • thats the shit :-)

  • How would you feel as a young DJ thinking you got your juggle game on smash and an OG just straight shit on you with one turntable? Blindfolded? I'd probably consider accordion lessons.

  • THIS IS REAL HIP-HOP!!!

  • I did not know you could get needle dropping down to a science like that.now.I wish I could find out the true scratch inventor it gets really confusing.the way flash puts it he did.and theodore was his student but everywhere else its Theodore with his story.I wish someone could clear it up.

  • WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF!

How can he do that? This is like super natural. But after all - it takes super natural talent and skills to be one of the inventors of scratching/turntablism.

  • @Thetan1974 SUN...GWT paid his DUES!!!! I remember being @ the SPARKLE in the BX...he was INCREDIBLE!!!! Back in 77 -78!!!

  • Needle Drops! Ya'll cant't do that! Grand Wizard Theodore was doing this stuff in the early 80s!

  • we are so innovative!!!!! I luv it

  • incredible...he's remaking the breakbeat w/one turntable! and did you notice, he didn't miss a beat. never saw this before and it blows the mind. theodore realy is precise to do this!

  • that cat is readin that vinyl like brail

  • THAT MUTHAFUGGAS IS HIP HOP! Not lil wayne and a mob of other unknowns dissin the DJ on stage. Not souju boy doing ....fug idunno what ya call that sh8t he does.

GRAND WIZARD THEODORE AND KRS ONE! Hyping up the crowd, cutting it up, freestyling on their phones and cameras.

  • BX stand up!!!!

  • Is that a QFO turntable he's using? I can't tell by the camera angle.

  • Sick!!! Old school!

  • i dont get it... what is he doing?

  • @Sepharite He's dropping the needle of the 2nd turntable onto various grooves in the vinyl to add beats, stabs, vocal lines, etc. in time with the beat on the 1st turntable. This is how they would come up with new beats back in the day, sort of layering it in real time then sampling the results. By doing it blindfolded, he's showing how accurately he can hit it.

That's my take. Anyone else got a better definition?

  • @Sepharite dropin that needle in the excact groove to create the breakbeat, heiroglphics sht

  • @Sepharite hes moving the needle on the record in order to keep the beat of the record going. like hes moving the needle back n forth. not scratching

  • holy shit!

  • Werk it out, Theodore!!!!!!!

  • thats my man right there..we rocked at 16years old together..

    rclarock

  • Would love to meet this dude. He fucking invented this shit dam!! legend!!!
