@Sepharite He's dropping the needle of the 2nd turntable onto various grooves in the vinyl to add beats, stabs, vocal lines, etc. in time with the beat on the 1st turntable. This is how they would come up with new beats back in the day, sort of layering it in real time then sampling the results. By doing it blindfolded, he's showing how accurately he can hit it.

That's my take. Anyone else got a better definition?
