it's definitely not a rickenbacker, it doesn't have the distinctive headstock. It looks like a custom 50s Fender P with the pickup replaced, but the way the scratchboard extends all the way to the back of the bass (under the vol/tone knobs) is unusual. Ain't seen that on Fenders before.
