  • how creepy that would be if you were on your boat fishing and one of those just lept out of the water killing a seal

  • i wish these lovly cute creatures were in the seas right now, i would buy a pet one

  • @pliosaurvid not it grew to 80ft long -.-

  • @pliosaurvid well... close...6.5m as an adult.... I'm sure there might have been rather old ones that would have reached 8m. But never of course 25m since as you pointed out there's never been an example found of that size and it wouldn't have fitted in with Liopleurodon's known predatory behavior or environment.

Oddly not only were they killed of in the KT event... but they lived in the area where the impact occurred... so a rather fast and violent end to them.

  • Liopleurodon... the true King of the Seas

  • in this video i feel i'm the victim LOL

  • This is why some sea creatures evolved to live on land. They saw this guy and said "Fuck this, I'm outta here!"

  • when i first saw that thing come out of da wata i was like"yup i love this thing already".

  • Megalodon can be bigger than a liopleurdon because it could bit it fin off.

  • Thats CRAZY!!

  • it reminds me of a giant turtle..

  • this is why i don't go swimming

  • @GhostGardens Liopleurodon's rnt alive anymore LOL

  • @alyybuggy thats what the dinosaur on the rock thought....

  • oh shit...

  • Comment removed

  • i learned liopleurodon from charlie the unicorn

  • yo do know that the BBC exagarated the size of liopleurdon by loads... dosent stop it from being cool though

  • It's a Liopleurodon Charlie!! A MAGICAL LIOPLEURODON!!! :D

  • @syntheticpoise On a more serious note. It's surprising to think that sharks, one of the most feared beast in the sea could be compared to a tuna fish back then. D:

  • @syntheticpoise He said the way for us Charlieeee! HE SAID NOTHING xDxDxD

  • @syntheticpoise thats why im here.

  • always be my favorite marine reptile

  • @DjancokWarrior Same

  • in 2001 scientist in a submarine heard a loud sound and they say that the thing who made the sound would be larger than a blue whale! my oppinion.

liopleurodon is still out there somewhere because only 97% of the ocean has never been explored

  • Comment removed

  • @dropmania619 agree wht that only 3% is discover what giant creaturs may live in that big ocean and i bet this monster is still out there but also the megalodon but if they fight liopleurdon wil win hes bigger stronger and has a giant mouth whit 30cm teeth

  • @dropmania619 Oh geez are we still talking about the bloop? The most popular theory is that an ice shelf broke off into the ocean which is what caused the noise. I doubt any one animal (and I realise that there is no real way to verify this) could make that sound.

  • Liopleurodon was the Chuck Norris of its era, being 20 meters long, and having that huge head, nothing could kill it, only another Liopleurodon or the apocalypse

  • But if they feed on sharks that means all the sharks in the hunting area will now follow the female , not very good survival instincts by the male

  • liopleurtodon is my favorite sea monster

  • Anyone else cry when they were a kid and saw this guy get eaten?

  • @Izayoiaki24 i cheered

  • @paalbr i never watched Charlie the Unicorn cause i am not gay

  • Damn nature you scary

  • Hey, he was bigger then Megolodon??? :OOO

  • @shagps He was 5 meters long than the Megalodon

  • @toaaxxon123 My god, that's impressive.

Imagine if we were there, it would be cool! But not in the water of course, just thinking that Megolodon was the biggest shark, than i can't imagine how Liopleurodon should be...

  • @shagps A liopleurodon can easily kill a blue whale

  • Comment removed

  • I HAVE THIS IN CASSET

  • hahaha when that thing came out hte water i bet that dinosaur was like OOOH SHIT NIGGA... AH DAMN.. DAMN... DA..

  • lol walking with dinosaurs

  • What ya should fear is something nature gave a high powered brain to a long time before beings on earth crawled out of the soup. as stevie hawking said our pinnacle of tech would be immortality. Either genetically or by bio engineering Technological superiority on such a drastic scale will always win hands down itd be like a caveman attacking an sas sniper by charging at him thru an open field club in hand. Its not gonna work no matter how much u try.

  • for their size they were monsters but u put them up against modern man and technology and brain power will rule always not much a creature thats mind lives in a box can do vs a tactical nuke is there? and thats like 50's 60's human tech see them go up against a hydron collider used as a particle accelerator cannon from todays tech or laser weaponry and see how they fair? sure they big they beaslty with out our tech we'd be screwed but nature gave us high powered brains so we win hands down :)

  • @johnchittock no we would win by not going in the water.

  • Say what you want about Liopleurodon... but Sharks out lived you mother fucker

  • I have a Maaagicaal Liopleurodon. Why does youtube say liopleurodon isn't a word?

  • mister MAGOO would fish that monster without him even knowing it....XD

  • how come these powerful sea monsters extinct and the sharks are still alive >.<!?

  • @jin081794

Evolution & survival of the fittest. Does not always mean the biggest or strongest. But the best adapted

  • its a liopleurodon charlie!

  • @haoqh

    ASCHHOLE WIE NOW TAT BAZDARD

  • thank christ this thing doesn't exist anymore

  • To think that THAT existed once just scares the shit out of me.

  • I came here from a Unicorn video xD

  • Talking about Gentle Giants ( i.e. Whales )...I think not!

But its Nimrod from the US series SURFACE [2005]

  • It's a Magical Leopluradon Charlie!

  • Liopleurodon 3D is being made!!

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of Charlie the Unicorn

  • how the fuck do they know if it was territorial or not?

  • @cerskine93 Well they're seeing the similarities between liopleurodons and other territorial organisms. And mabye they haven't found any fossils near eachother. And they have marks on their fossils made by other liopleurodons fighting them.

  • fery large

  • hes a shark eater makes you work more, makes you swim more makes you want more and more!

  • @paalbr People like me do actually exist :O

  • this is why im afraid of the ocean

yea they might be dead, but the might not

the fact that anything could be swimming under me...and i would have no idea...its just gives me the chills >.<

  • I was sitting there thinking, what if something come behind him and push him in, and the next thing I know he got eaten.

  • Magical Liopleurodon!!!!

  • to megalodon fans. I am not tellig you to place your sea monster likes but, the largest of liopleurodon's teeth were twice the size of tyrannosaurus' and that would make them early 1/2 a meter long. That is a definate fact. so lio could have almost definately grown over 10 meters long. there is only a small amount of fossil material so this leviathan is still quite a mystery.

  • the largest ever carnivore

  • I thought the dino looked scary and then I was all like... O SWEET JESUS HELP ME!!!!!!!

  • in wich pet shop can you buy these?

  • @holgerheringa Rex r us

  • @holgerheringa

    Go to Japan...

    They hunt everything...!

    ;D

  • how would fossil records indicate that a male Lio would attack a female. seems like a lot of guess work

  • @lukethegreat101

Maybe many of the fossils found were of wounded animals, and as the Liopleurodons didn't have many enemies, they came to this conclusion.

    [But that's my guess too]

  • @Messistale In that case it would be more likely that it was a result of male-male or female-female rivalries as is more commonly observed in nature.

  • @lukethegreat101

    True.

They probably wanted the movie to be more interesting, so they made many things up.

    On purpose.

  • Where's my money, Lio?!

  • Lol if a female would show in my area i wouldn bite her instead i'd just mate her.

what a fucking douche liopleurodon that was.

That's probably how they died out really.
