I think Lila is the key player. The final episode of the season is titled, "The British Invasion". I think she will be the key to this season somehow. Maybe she was a serial killer from Britain or something. Have to wait and see ;)

well.. doakes was wearing gloves in dexter's house.. so that's not an issue.. however.. i think it's fairly obvious that dexter was picked up to analyze the slides.. he is wearing rubber gloves after all.

I bet Doakes is caught with the slides on his way to have them analyzed and HE'S arrested.  He can't prove he got them from Dexter's. Nobody'd believe him anyway.

Well no one has thought about one possibility : Doakes is looking for analysing the blood, so Dexter may be only dreaming the part when he's arrested...

they went to dexter house because it was a emergency, they have arrest the suspect Doakes with the little box and have to be analyze immediately by an expert and that blood expert is Dexter.

i'm not sure that is the case. according to one of the preview clips, doakes had the samples analysed elsewhere.

besides, why all the hullabaloo to pick up dexter at his house unless they thought he had something to do with it?

Ya, and why would he need to be escorted if they needed him to work on the blood samples. He could have simply drove himself.

Good point, Dexter is definitely involved.

I'd hate it if what we saw at the end of the preview is how this episode ends and we have to wait yet ANOTHER week to find out what happens.

Actually my main quip with this season's is that it's not as careful with the details as last season's. Like a few eps back when Dexter lost his tranq gun that can EASILY be traced back to him. Now I'm confused what to think because Doakes was rummaging through Dexter's apartment WITHOUT gloves but when it came to the air conditioner he magically had gloves on! I still love the show, but it's not as tightly written as last season's.

Oh my god. He better pin it on Doakes. But aren't his finger prints all over the slides? If my memory serves, he doesn't usually wear his gloves when he handles them after he creates them. Doakes didn't have gloves either, but I think Dexter would have a lot more prints on them.

They better think it's Doakes, what with the Butcher comment
