@LadyYarima at first Peter Jackson was going to have Elrond go to Lothlorien to ask for aid for the people of Rohan (if I remember correctly), but PJ changed his mind (thankfully) at the last minute. This is a still picture from that part that never made it to the films.
@Taramire Thank you very much for your quick reply. I always thought I knew a lot about the film, but today I learned something new :) Thanks again and Greetings from Germany :)
@esrapk yes they are, they can live for ever, but they can be killed by wounds and stuff. Illnesses dont effect them, but think, what creature could live if he got a sword rammed through his middle?
@esrapk When they die, they go to Halls of Mandos where their souls dwell for a time for healing their traumas, and then they could be reincarnated in way or another.
For example, Glorfindel and Finrod (Galadriel's brother) got such mark of honor for their deeds that their bodies were soon rebuilt by Mandos, and because they were still needed by their own people. Beren and Lúthien also got such mercy from him, in a special way.
This story is actually only one of the versions... it's one of the stories which Tolkien didn't really finish before his death.
In one version Celeborn is from Alqualondë in Aman, in other version he's from Doriath in Middle-Earth. But in both cases he's closely related to Elwë and Olwë, both kings of Teleri elf tribe.
there was no elves at helms deep its was a chat between legolas and gimly and i quote for i wish for two hundred archers from my wood realm and no other elves die in the book at all this is just the best film maker of all time adding what we all wanted to see more kick ass legolassssss ,from michael thank you for the movies xx
There was no elves in the battle of helm deep execpt for Legolas in the books there has been questions wether or not Arwen was there or not. The character Haldir played by Craig Parker. Was having either dinner or lunch with P.J. and P.J decide durning the meal that craig parker would go to Helm deep and died. Neither one of Celeborn or Haldir died in book. It said that Lady Galadriel left middle earth while the Lord of Lothl'orien stay in Rivendell for a time with the twins then left

Galadriel survived the great war and actually left with a ( space- of course ) ship, while Celeborn died fighting the Orks of Saruman in Helm´s .... it is also thus in the movie, where we see him arrive there, warmly received by Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas...
Knowing the story is channelled material, some things were altered. Not so Celeborn´s death.Very exposed in the movie. Thank you though for posting this angelic soundtrack.elben as it were, mixed with irish folk at its holiest almost
Check out the Mary Black version of this song.......if it doesn't bring a tear to your eye nothing will
