  • Wow - Gary with a Gibson LP Junior? Thanks for posting.

  • Without a doubt, the best version I've heard of this song. RIP Gary, you were a talented and great guitarist.

  • @GeneralColinBowel Be sure to check out the "Live in Sheffield" version of this great song!

  • Great line-up. Saw them in SF at Wolgang's right before it burned down and was never rebuilt.

  • The guy playing guitar is playing an ibanez RS1000, the one Gary endorsed around that time. I actually have one, still in near mint condition. I got mine because of Gary...I'm glad his music & part of his soul lives on through his music

  • One of my all time favorite songs.

  • Is that Barry Manilow on guitar???

  • pokerkingTJQKA - Good call man. I have to admit I missed the boat. I didn't discover him til after Victims came out. BUT you observation about Vivien Campbell is dead on. Holy Diver is all Gary Moore.

  • Gary Moore is gone but his legacy remains ....

  • The best guitarist of all. RiP.

  • Gary actully played golddiggers twice on this tour and i saw him both times, This was a BBC free event if i recall correctly

  • America really missed the boat on Gary. I am from America so I should know. R.I.P. Gary.

  • @robfolcroft not this american.when i heard gary moore i wanted to play like him. i hear him in vivian campbell also.

  • RIP...saw Gary live in 1984

  • Very few have made the guitar sing. Gary Moore was certainly one of them. You'll be sorely missed.

  • Gary's death comes as a total shock. A tremendous talent has been lost.

Gary was one of my guitar idols and reasons for picking up an electric guitar.

Thanks for the music Gary. R.I.P.

  • @scat311 Exactly my feelings as well. RIP Gary

  • @scat311 Check out Phil Emmanuel mate !!!

  • Gary Moore R.I.P. You were one of the absolute best!!!!

    GRIEF & GREETINGS from DENMARK..

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Saw Gary Moore at the 1984 Texxas Jam in Dallas, dude was BAD-ASS !!!

  • Gary Moore what can I add, well He's the Best on the Planet.

  • GARY THE BEST !

  • Have this on vid , Moore played really well ,vocals inperfect in places but paice snare is well up in the mix (Good) Neil looks like barry manilow (bad).

  • I ever told it to the guitarplayers...the rhythm is even harder to keep and play like the lead!

  • i`m in the front headbanging away.... good old days lol

  • Watched this show on telly. Hats off to Craig Gruber. Bass solo on Empty Rooms is cool and should not have been axed from later releases.

  • great IAN PAICE

  • Awesome !! Brutal Guitar Chops ...........

  • Great!!

  • Yes this is 1984 i remember the night well it was so loud our pints were bounching on the concrete bar.Great gig.

  • Spinal tap....

  • although not one of the best looking guitarist ..he is by far my favorite player..a master!!! Monster rocker

  • Is this really 1984...? I think it looks like it's shot in the 90's, but I could be wrong...

  • @theeternalidol

Look at the guy at 2.19. It's got to be the 80's. Though, I know what You mean, I too think that Gary took some Christmas weight up which he lost later on the same year...

  • This is really 1984, yeah...... now you say! Its like's round the 90e's!!!!

    Bram

  • i love the solo, im gonna learn it :d

  • I as in Madrid at thi year waching them,,,, so great,, and so good remembers.. my first concert

  • This guy is best thing to come out of Ireland since Rory Gallagher & Thin Lizzy and Gary was in Lizzy for a while. Hell, what am I saying. He was playing when Rory was still happening, huh?

Question: How come he's never been popular here in the USA?

Answer: The music business in America needs an enema. STAT!!!!

I think I'm gonna go get me a twelve-pack o' Guiness to celebrate this amazing musician right now. Later!!

  • You gotta be a show pony to make it in the states. GM doesnt need to be a show pony coz he has raw talent in abundance.

  • Neil carter who used to do the keyboard, guitar , and back up vocals is my uncle 1:41 him singing

  • @werdnathecat2 thats so cool!

  • @werdnathecat2 OOh, Really? Neil Carter was one of the reason of the success of Gary Moore. His work was really good and in the live concerts he was really professional... This kind of men who make the story of the Metal bigger and bigger working in the background. Give thanks to your uncle!

  • Brilliant solo.. almost not-for-note with his studio version.

One of my all time faves.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • I used to have this on Video, saw this tour live in Sheffield was awesome ! ian paice superb, pity about the head gear lol

  • Excellent footage of Classic Gary Moore!

Thank you for posting this.. Incredible

  • Wow! where did you get this footage from? 80s era video footage of Gary Moore is like gold

  • I like this version that Moore and Jeff Beck with Stuart does better than the one that Yardbirds, Naazareth and Rush does
