hey! quick question: how much hiking was there to do? on the website it says 3 hrs of hiking, 4 hours total on ice... but I mean is it uphill for 3 hours? Or it's more of a mix of uphill, downhill, trekking? I'm going there next month, but I'm not sure if I'm fit enough for the Big Ice and if I should just stick to the mini-trekking... Thank you!
@bizku Hi, about 4-5 hours. The hike up to the base is a couple miles (some pretty step, but def managable). The ice trek is pretty flat, but you wear crampons. 1st 3 hours you don't feel because its just amazing. It can get tiring tho on the trek back. Mini trekking is only 2 hours, and only by the first base camp, so if you can manage to get out there on the big trek, I highly recommend. The view makes it worth while. Also, check out estancia christina for horseback riding. That was surreal.

Nice job with the pics/video. I'm thinking about taking my next trip down to Patagonia this coming February. Thanks for sharing.
