  • John, Do you have to boil the almond milk?

  • No. Only the soy milk.

  • What if you press the dry pulp through again - and use a strainer to catch any almond pulp??

  • You can do this, but the first time thru was pretty effective at getting most of the liquid out.

  • love my 350 -

  • Good video.

I have a Green Star Elite and this works the same way with it.

  • Hello John

I just have bought me the Versapers. (I live in Belgium/ Europe)

It is made in the same factory as the Omega and Hurom.

It has the Ultem screen. Do you know if that screen is the same one as that on the Omega VRT?

    thx

    Nathalie

  • I do not think the screen will not FIT the other machines as there may be minor differences in design.

  • will this method work with other juicers too? I have a jack lalanne power juicer deluxe. Thanks!

  • No, this technique will NOT work in a jack lalanne effectively. It would be best to blend the nut milk in the blender and then strain with a nut milk bag.

  • How much milk do you get from 1lb almonds

  • about 10 cups of almond milk based on my calculations of 1 cup of almonds to 3 cups of water.

  • Do you have to soak all the other types of nuts also or just the almond and soy beans.. thanks .. Im thinking of the vrt hd now after watching your video and saying bye to the green machine

  • I would encourage you to soak all your nuts and beans when making soy milk, it makes them softer and easier to process and more efficient to get the milk out.

  • How about rice milk?

  • I have not tried this, so im not sure. Rice is so small, so Im thinking it will not be effective.

  • i have a question. sorry, i have a vitamix and even using a nut milk bag, i still get some grit. I want my almond milk to have the same consistency as store brought almond milk. Will the omega vert juicer get everything out so there's absolutely no grit or grime or anything? That's important to me, I like my milk smooth like it is in the store without any funny type of tastes. thank you so much. i was thinking of using a juicer and came across your video.

  • The vrt will leave some grit in the juice. You need to get a better nut milk bag that has a finer mesh, such as a cotton bag.

  • @rawfoods Hi. I am debating between VRT330 HD and 8006. I really like the fact that the 8006 has multifunction features, however, I would really like to be able to make good nut milk. What do you mean by the 8006 not work as well as the vrt? Am i going to have more trouble making nut milk with the 8006? Thank you!

  • Please see

where I show what I mean

  • Thanks for posting this I made my first batch of 'real' almond milk today and it's so creamy and flavorful. I think I would have been too intimated to try it without this instruction. :)

  • It's hard to watch you and concentrate...you're such a sexy guy! Although, I'm here to thank you for all your recipes & instructions. Very educational & so kind of you to share your knowledge with all of us. I'm actually new to juicing and I do drink mainly coconut milk, almond milk and tempting to drink cashew. I'm not interested in soy, I don't find it all that safe since we don't really balance it in our western diet. I'm not sure about rice milk, maybe if I make it. TY, keep up the good job.

  • Will this method work with an Omega 8003 juicer?

  • Not effectively.

  • With almond milk made this way, how long will it keep safely?

  • I would only keep it for 3 days max. It may last longer.

  • how about first cook soy beans, leave it overnight, and then drink milk straight outta juicer?

  • theoretically, that "should" work. but I really don't make soymilk, so I wouldnt know for sure. My favorite is coconut milk.. yumm.

  • @rawfoods thanks for the anwser john :)

  • Can you make the nut milks and coconut milk with the Omega 8006 ?

  • Yes, it does work, but not as well as the vrt, due to the 2 stage juicing screen on the 8006 that has larger holes. I will make a video one of these days comparing the 8006 and vrt making nut milk.

  • It is great. Why do you pour out water used for soaking? Aren't you pouring out the nutrients??

  • In the soak water, it contains enzyme inhibitors, and any other residues that were on the almonds..

  • i didn't know that soymilk needed to be cooked for it to be digestible. thanks for the tip!

  • So how do you make rice milk?

  • I haven't made rice milk. I imagine it would be similiar to making soy milk. It must be heated..

  • Remember to soak your nuts 0_0...........

  • men STAY AWAY FROM soy it's estrogenic

EVERYONE ELSE stay away from non-organic soy it's GMO city and that means organ damage and hell for environment, folks

  • Thanks! Im not a fan of Cashews. Its one of the nuts I avoid. They are not as healthy as other nuts, and do not digest well for some people (like me). So I do not want to promote them. My favorite "nut" milk is coconut milk. Its less expensive to make that a nut milk and better for us too, in my opinion.

  • Great Video as usual. Bought the 330 from you and great service. Why do you discourage using the water you soak the almonds in ? I have always used this water without any adverse consequences.

  • I would pour the INITIAL soak water out. It can contain enzyme enhibitors and other "waste" products of the almonds germinating. Probably not the worst thing for you. You can use it if you would like; I prefer not too.

  • wow thanks for this video i have the hurom and been using it for wheatgrass and regular juicing but for making nut milks this juicer is amazing, it is so easy to make nut milk now, i am super grateful for sharing the info peace ww

  • Any tips on storing the nut milks? Ad also how long can it be stored? Thank you for your awesome videos and customer service at your website.

  • Store nut milks in the fridge in a sealed container. Lasts 3-4 days at the most. I reccomend only making as much as you will use within 2 days. Its best to eat fresh!

  • As informative as this is did anyone else laugh when he said "make sure to soak your nuts" haha

  • @Tarasepp every single time, smh. Why can't I just be an adult lol.

  • great videos John.

Looking forward to trying the almond milk

  • thanks john for the great instructions. i just made soya milk with the hurom and it tastes great.

i love your videos. please keep them up.

  • hi, i have a jack lalanne juicer, but i saw the hurom and i really want that one, but you recommend this one instead whats the difference?

  • please do a youtube search for vert vs hurom and watch my video.

  • can you give me an idea of how to make soymilk with an omega 2003?

  • The same way I have shown in this video. Use the juicing screen in the Omega 8003. Im suspecting you have the Omega 8003. There is no Omega 2003.

  • @rawfoods oops, yes correct it is an 8003...

    great channel

  • Do you have a video explaining why you prefer the Omega VRT vs the Hurom juicer? Or just typing it out would be great.

    Great videos btw

  • Yes, Do a search on you tube for vert vs hurom

  • 5 Stars

  • ok ok you will be my choice to buy a juicer...one question. how long does almond milk last in the fridge?? when made by the vert...

  • It will ususally last 3-4 days. I would make more frequent batches rather than a "large" batch.

  • That almond milk looks like the way to go. I didn't know Soy Milk had to be cooked... I'll probably stay away from that. Besides, I've been hearing bad things about GMO soy beans.

Do the Almond and Coconut milks taste anything like cows milk? I've never had either.

Thanks for the video John! Your enthusiasm gives me motivation to get healthy.

  • I could not answer the question honestly. I have not tasted cows milk in many years. I prefer the coconut milk over the almond milk, its more "rich".

  • Yes, you could. Using the same technique.

  • Is it possible to make soy milk in the 8006?
