I don't have a problem with Matt Smith, it's the writing recently that bugs me. Don't get me wrong, Moffat's and awesome writer, but he's taken out all the camp that made Doctor Who so delightful. Matt's spazzy acting helps keep it delightful (although I'll admit, I HAVE had a hard time getting used to David, my all-time favorite Doctor, NOT BEING THE DOCTOR, and it still breaks my hear that he's gone sometimes -- but I still love Matt) but I miss having Slitheen evil-laughter-fests. You know?

Matt smith is for the little kids. They never got to appreciate David tennant and Rose Taylor the way we did. They were the best pair and he was the best doctor. After the master was killed and david tennant died as well, i never watched that show again. Doctor who isn't the same as it was before, the writing was so much more fluid and better while tennant was the doctor. I'm not a fan of who anymore.

I think people not liking Matt Smith is less about him and more about not wanting to see David Tennant leave. I hated David Tennant in his first couple of episodes because he was replacing Christopher Eccleston, but I got over it and now he's my second favorite doctor (behind Eccleston). And I was that way about Smith, but it took me longer to warm up to Smith than it did Tennant. But I do really like Smith now.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed when Eleven didn't die in the season six finale. I seriously cried. I'm just so sick of him and all the crazy stuff Moffat is doing. He should just stick to Sherlock. And really? Season 7's being delayed, too?? I mean, COME ON!!

@DoctorDo1234 You're partially right. David loved being the doctor. In fact, he said that if he kept doing it, he'd be the doctor until he was in his 80's, and that was the problem. It's not that it was tedious or mundane. He'd just never would have left if he didn't leave at that point. He departed with Russel T Davies so the Matt Smith and Steven Moffat could have a clean slate.

Ha! I felt the same way after Christopher Eccleston left the show as I never could stand David Tennant as the Doctor. I had to stop watching it for years as it just wasn't the same.
Hitler isn't a Whovian. There are three classes of Doctor Who fans. The highest level is Whovian - obscenely loyal and obsessed fans who inderstand the show. Next is Whofan, who are just casual fans, not obsessed. The lowest form is the Tengirls/boys. People who only really watched it for David Tennant and complain about Matt and don't watch the show anymore. Like Hitler.
After hearing a lot about the show, I decided to check it out.. starting with series 5, because I thought Matt looks the most fitting for the role based on what I knew about the show. Now, having watched said series, I really like him.

Well, his reaction wasn't nearly as bad as mine... lol I kid. I didn't really like him at first but that was because I was still moping over David Tennant and everything Matt Smith did, I found fault with. But now I've come to realise, he is actually a really great Doctor. David Tennant will always be my favourite, but Matt isn't too far behind.

the new sonic screwdriver is crap... green and looks like a dildo. Also the doctor gives his screwdriver to river when she goes to the library and it is blue which means the blue screwdriver has to come back... please! however river's sonic screwdriver was red at one point in the library episodes, look closely and you will see it, no idea why that is, only noticed it because i saw the master episodes a few days before (laser screwdriver ftw)

@trainlover658 actually evreyone whould keep watching,of course he whould have regenerated eventually but that is another thing. tennet quit becaus he felt like doctor who took too much of his life and he didn't wanted it to make him feel like its a Regular thing that he wakes up and go to evreytime for the rest of his life.he wanted change basicly.

@DoctorDo1234 You're partially right. David loved being the doctor. In fact, he said that if he kept doing it, he'd be the doctor until he was in his 80's, and that was the problem. It's not that it was tedious or mundane. He'd just never would have left if he didn't leave at that point. He departed with Russel T Davies so the Matt Smith and Steven Moffat could have a clean slate.

Ha! I felt the same way after Christopher Eccleston left the show as I never could stand David Tennant as the Doctor. I had to stop watching it for years as it just wasn't the same.

Hitler isn't a Whovian. There are three classes of Doctor Who fans. The highest level is Whovian - obscenely loyal and obsessed fans who inderstand the show. Next is Whofan, who are just casual fans, not obsessed. The lowest form is the Tengirls/boys. People who only really watched it for David Tennant and complain about Matt and don't watch the show anymore. Like Hitler.

After hearing a lot about the show, I decided to check it out.. starting with series 5, because I thought Matt looks the most fitting for the role based on what I knew about the show. Now, having watched said series, I really like him.
