  • Jeordie gets the reaction he deserves.

  • It's funny because the laughter is laughing at things that they shouldn't be and you want to predict wen the next non-joke will be.

  • Dude the naked dude plays an evil dude in Stargate SG-1 as well. LOLL

  • the star trek universe undoubtedly has some hot chicks, but also hasa lot of ugly ass bitches

  • This is how Star Trek: TNG was originally filmed, but the laugh track was cut at the last minute because someone on the production team thought TNG's plots could be taken seriously. We see how seriously wrong they were on many counts....

  • I would totally watch this

  • Those extra sounds were annoying!!

  • This sucks.

  • It didn't work for me.

  • The live studio audience in the beginning wasn't clapping, they were slapping (their hands on the side of the ship to get in ater Picard shot them out of the ship on GeneralGrin's channel.)

  • I

    fucking

    hate

    sitcoms

  • This is shite and so is all the drugs and no imagination crap the morons are coming up with!

  • do no why is it funny but i am laughing anyway ........

  • "We could be looking at our own ice age..."

    "ooooohhh"

  • So funny! Good job turning star trek in something as brilliant as this!! (not that it isn't brilliant already^^)

  • LOL!!! Very clever and amusing!!

  • well done! what an interesting take

  • @ZzombyWooff Are you sure? Drugs? :3

  • Don't look Ethyl!

  • Love the theme song at the end LOL

  • That was strangely enjoyable... Oh no, does this mean I'm an idiot?

  • it would be awesome to replace the laughter-track with beavies&butthead-track ;)

  • When he says 'our own ice age' is he reffering in relation to Earth's one?? How the hell would he know about that?

  • @anthropreneur Maybe their planet had had a previous ice age. I'd guess it would be a relatively common phenomenon for humanoid life to evolve - well, I'm guessing.

  • The juxtaposition here is pretty funny.

  • I didn't really enjoy it. Who ever made it, just played audience laughter when nothing was funny. You tried to make a sitcom, out of a show that isn't really funny. Nice try

  • @Signinluv08 that was sort of the point

  • @nexivdr lol! Guess I just didn't get it.... I guess sometimes I do act like a blonde...

  • if there using the universal translator shouldnt she have said big wave instead of tsunami

  • Terrible laugh track and the intro was crap.

  • @Snapscape Intro was totally the funniest part.

  • boo that ice age! booooooo!

  • Funny.

  • that was awesome! people laughing at predictions of catastrophic events :D

  • Star Trek: the Sitcom? Like this watch?v=JI8ezrK6Qjs

  • 1,322 people aren't critical.

  • Is Q really evil?

  • @ixtoothint Watch the series finale, and you might not think so.

  • @MissEvaification Me too! Data and Captain Picard are so funny!

  • All you need is Jerry Seinfeild

  • how did you do this playcole becouse i think of adding a laughing audiance to Knight Rider, The Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, Coronation Street Doctor Who Blake's7 ect.

  • @gallafey Search the web for some free laugh tracks, then get some video editing software, add an additional audio track to the project in addition to the original and line up the laughter wherever you want it.

  • Ah yes, exactly like I remember it.

  • It did improve that ant pushing a tricycle joke.

  • The audience likes Geordi more than I would have expected: 1:32. :)

  • ITS GROWING PAINS!!!!

  • Growing Up, ( I am 35 ) My Father would always say, " WTF ARE THEY LAUGHING AT " !

    Great memories

  • The Family Ties theme is genius. Maybe instead of "Q" Picard should have said , "Hello , Newman..."

  • @subliteral I think it's actually Growing Pains.

  • @harryfromwork. you would be correct!

  • This is extremely funny. The end sequence had me in hysterics. Seriously great job. Ma Halo :)

  • Brilliant

  • Comment removed

  • this just proves that adding a laugh track behind anything can make it a "good" comedy.. no wonder there are so many crap sitcoms ..

  • @test123ok amen XD loled @ 0:45 just because the laugher set me in the mood.

  • Yeah Jean-Luc... why help those North Korean aliens at all? They're assholes.

  • It's like Red Dwarf lool

  • XD Picard: Make it so. ( clapping )

  • lol the laugh track makes me laugh. people are so easy.

omg i must write some Picard/Q slash now.

  • whats so funny?

  • Weird

  • 5 stars, favourited and subbed whoa hahaha

  • What is with the canned laughter.....lame

  • @paddyzedone Do you understand reality, or are you simply too stupid to have missed the title of this video? You must be american.

  • @WakeUpYouMoron there are dipshits in every country. maybe he shares common citizenship with you ! would that make all your people stupid ? asshole; just judge the individuals.

  • I like editing shows and movies to make it look different but this didnt work for me

  • this is actually a great lesson in perception and altered context...

    ...bravo.

  • This seemed like a funny idea... but this video doesn't execute well.

  • why everybody thinks you have to smoke something to use your imagination. you don't have to "smoke something" to have a amazing imagination and ideas. only unimaginative people needs drugs to expand their ideas and imagination.

  • @ZZombyWooff What the hell are you smoking?

  • @JackSprat2323 nothing. I don't even smoke tobacco.

  • @ZZombyWooff My mistake.

  • @ZZombyWooff It's not a matter of "needing" it, it's a matter of making it even better. Are you saying drugs have no effect on imaginative people?

  • @prorsoft 1. naah, it's not making it better. 2. where did I said that?

  • @ZZombyWooff Smoking something won't make a person any more or less imaginative. But it can allow people to look past the stress of their daily lives and rediscover their own imagination.

  • @prorsoft but. you don't have to "smoke something" to have a amazing imagination and ideas.

  • @ZZombyWooff Agreed. But mind-altering drugs can help with reaching your creative self, accessing that imagination and using this imagination to its fullest potential.

I use weed (I'm high right now, actually) because the constant work stress in my daily life wouldn't allow me to be creative and imaginative

  • @prorsoft eww, narc talk. ok. I expand. I expand half universes; only unimaginative and tired (company slaves) rat racers have to smoke something to create something amazing.

  • @ZZombyWooff That's an association fallacy, and not a valid logical argument. It's not true, anyway, in my case.

  • @prorsoft it is a valid argument. and it is true in every narc's case.

  • @ZZombyWooff An association fallacy is not a valid logical argument. And neither is the generalisation you just pulled.

  • @prorsoft there's no generalisation and not even colonelisation. Only valid argument for a rotten brained narc, nothing else. (can you sense the trolling. not you narc; everyone else: can you sense it? can you feel the thunder. the golden age of leather and blue oyster cult, fucking breath it, breath the cool night air. the clock is now 0:14 here in the land of vikings)

  • @ZZombyWooff You're making no sense; I suggest you get some sleep or whatever you need to use reason. You seem not to understand logic and your arguments are purely emotional or associational. It is senseless to continue this discussion.

For the record, I'm not a "narc". Psychedelics do not produce narcotic effects.

  • @prorsoft I am making lot of sense, but narcs like you can't figure it out. I got some sleep and the clock is 15:53 now. rotten brained logic does rule in the world of smokers, you are right. thank you for not continuing this conversation.

  • @ZZombyWooff Where do you get your drugs?

  • @Cnipur I dont' use drugs, you are mistaken

  • @ZZombyWooff , I have an amazing imagination, but magic mushrooms took me were I could never have gone myself, from impulse power to full warp you might say.

  • @1965CAPTKIRK narc propaganda to get kids buy drugs

  • @ZZombyWooff Tell that to the Beatles and other musicians who made some of their greatest work after using LSD, I in no way endorse or recommended drugs, its all down to education and personal choice, but the war on soft drugs was lost years ago,I would put all resoures into dealers who sell heroin or crack cocaine, people dont rob other people to get money to buy mushrooms, they kill for crack! stop waisting money trying to control magic mushroom, pot and softer drugs, you work for the man!

  • @1965CAPTKIRK Their amazing work is horrible, even as junkies they could reach anything even close listenable. yea stop wasting money on drugs and mushrooms, fucking narcs!

  • @ZZombyWooff Eh dream on, you sound like the one whos had too many drugs.

  • @1965CAPTKIRK I'm not dreaming, you can keep going on in your narc-demended-reality

  • @ZZombyWooff Ive never taken anything for 20 years, just keep beating your tambourine.

  • @1965CAPTKIRK you said you took mushrooms, dear narc. I'm not a clairvoyant, I could encrypt that from your first message. tambourines are fun, tam tam tam tamtam!

  • @ZZombyWooff Yawn!

  • @1965CAPTKIRK get some sleep!

  • @ZZombyWooff I'd say drugs dull my imagination, or else make me so much less intelligent and expressive that I can't apply a heightened sense of imagination....

  • @Lastman0nEarth yes, drugs dull your imagination

  • now this is comedy! hehe.

  • those weird alien things look like my asian next door neighbour. cool.

  • This sucks worse than a vacumn

  • When I saw that naked guy, I was like, WTF

  • This was pretty funny at times.

  • The new star trek theme had to be accompanied with the senior crew role call

  • 1:32 "WOOO READING RAINBOW"

  • It's amazing how the laughtrack makes it really funny. I mean, I was expecting a bunch of disjointed snippets. This is brilliant work.

  • Oh my...I just died laughing. The Star Trek theme replacement....

  • Wow, I didnt realize how easy it would be to change a genre. Really makes me think would I had still watched if it were this way.

  • Feels like im watching red dwarf

  • I don't get the part where the rain hits the tarp.

  • I'm suprised somebody hasn't already thought of a sci-fi sitcom. I guess they did but knew that rich tv executives hate sci-fi and would not situation comedy adding to their list. It's the only thing they have left.

    Bless.

  • @Gallifrey103 There was a sci-fi sitcom that ran briefly in the 70's called "Quark".

  • @Gallifrey103 Don't forget the best sci-fi comedy show of all time...Red Dwarf.

  • @davidls11 I cannot physically argue that. Like how Kryten can't say 'smeg head.' (Until Lister broke his programming.)

  • Comment removed

  • Best part was Growing Pains theme song.......Also, anyone notice the alien guy was in Baldur's Gate? So was the weird guy at that talked to invisible people at Farpoint, and Picard's torturer, the Cardassian guy

  • This is sortof brilliant!

  • Brilliant! :D They wouldn't cheer and boo as much in a real sit-com, but what the heck!

  • You could have had the picard alphabet song with an auidence track cheering and laughing

  • Where did you get the sound effects from? I have to make a movie for an assignment and were making a parody of a sitcom. Thanks :)

  • Brilliant, lol.

Though it could've used a wolf whistle when Q showed up! XD

  • Its amazing what a laugh track can do.. This actually made Star Trek funny!

  • Now all we need is Picard doing stand-up in front of a brick wall, and we're set!

  • this just shows why sitcoms sucked so bad :P

  • LOL! I laughed the whole way through..

Especially at "We could be looking at our own Ice Age." *wwoooooooo* LOL

  • I gotta say, this is definitely different. I like it. :)

But I'm guessing you didn't like the sitcom "Growing Pains"!

  • "Red Alert"!

  • "That would destroy an area 800 kilometers in radius." - *laughter*

    LOL and thumbs up

  • An ant pushing a tricycle! [Laughter]

  • Wouldn't a larger moon plough through the planet and cause a lot more destruction than lots of little rocks?

  • "Red alert"

    Oooooooooh!!!!!! XD

  • Make it so.

    (Incessant applause)

  • lame

  • Sitcoms are for people who have nothing to do but go to work and pay bills and go home and watch tv until they have to wake up to a nother bloody day of working for some big corporation who treats them like an item and a tool rather than a human being. People who become numbers rather than humans.

Profit and labor price. then th boss gets a bonus checks while the employees get sitcoms to dumb the pain of a crappy ass capitalistic life of working as a 21st century slave in America.

  • @bevon17 cheerful. look, its a video.

  • Geweldig!!

  • This is very clever! I like how you illustrated how television conventions tell audiences how they are supposed to react to something, even when it wouldn't naturally get such a response.

  • Star Trek: now with deadpan comedy!

  • its not a joke on star trek, but rather the inane stupidity of sitcoms

  • That woman makes me laugh anyway!

  • Good idea. Totally wrong episode. It just 'really' isn't funny.

  • Make it so! *applause*

  • Everybody Loves Worf! =D

  • Best Episode of Picard In The Middle ever

  • Now that just didn't really work, did it?

  • I love the audience cheering when LaForge comes on the screen.

  • haha those 'unfunny lines' actually DO seem kinda funny though...

  • The best line "could we blow it into pieces" fitted with laughter suited perfectly

  • I love that when they are saying how everything is fucking up the audience wont shut up, but Q materializes naked and not a sound rofl (awesome theme tune btw)

  • wait, is that the guy from reading rainbow? :O

  • @bucknut248 yep lol

  • The theme song is the best part.

  • hahaha

  • some people have to much time on there hands

  • That is so damn funny!!

  • wtf why am i laughter? because others are? i feel dumb

  • the theme song is fucking hysterical !!! hahahaha

  • lol this is great.

  • the laughing is all random

  • This is ingenious.

  • That alien female scientist is a horrible actor...

  • One's humor evades me

  • this is stupid.

    not funny.

  • Damn that laughing, it just fricks me up! lol

  • This is hysterical! XD

  • Are these supposed to be Japanese aliens? In the actual episode?

  • There's more humor here than crap like Two and a Half Men, The Office, or today's SNL.

  • @alizee2010 office is funny.

  • This is actually hilarious! especially the laughing at inappropriate times lol!

  • My recommendation is to find all of the clips that are actually intended to be funny/comical and apply canned laughter to them.. Pretty funny, though. Particularly the bit about an ant pushing a tricycle. That's funny! lolol

  • @TearJerker2011 actually its a lot funnier to find serious ones and add laughter. completely flips the idea that its serious..

try mine for example in my videos:

quote: "there was an accident, all ships were destroyed... HAHHAAHAHAHAH!!"

    check it out

  • what a load of shite this is

  • ...massive landquakes, and tsunami!

  • some parts could have been better, but good nontheless.

The theme should include the characters smiling into the camera with their names onscreen

  • Crystal Iron?!.....

  • Ferrous crystaline, yes I th
