  • I had a bike fit by him at a Pac-tour camp a few years ago. I recommend him!

  • Thanks for posting this. Very informative.

  • An ATC (Athletic Trainer, Certified) is an Allied Health Professional, as recognized by the AMA. It's a serious education, involves formal classroom lectures as well as supervised clinical work. Athletic Trainer is not like personal trainer LOL, seriously far and above that. I would put most of the ATC's I know up against a GP any day of the week when it comes to treating musculoskeletal injuries. especially if you want to stay active and not "just rest it and see how it goes"

  • Velo B... I think most people know what an athletic trainer is. Yes it requires a "serious" education. Question would be serious at what? I suggest you google the curriculum requirements and look at the differences between the core value of instruction. Also google the Medical Board for the State of Colorado. You can see the requirements to obtain a medical license on that page. Very little of the AT Program equates for medical based competency.

  • "You don't usually see this inside normal Dr's office. do you?" Well that's because Andy isn't a normal Dr. He's actually an athletic trainer. He does have a PhD. It's just not in medicine. He was grandfathered in as a Physician Assistant in Colorado. I'm not sure how working as an athletic trainer qualifies as replacement for a formal medical education. It's just disappointing to see him throw the title Dr around in a medical setting. Makes you think you are seeing a real physician.

  • Thank you for 'Keeping it Honest', as the say on CNN. If you read his bio on the BCSM website it states very clearly what his credentials are. The ones that speak louder than letters are what he has done, for both himself and other athletes, and that he has done it.
