@specpinata I agree that Elton John's voice has deepened and was better when he was younger. However when you watch this video it wouldn't be right for him to be singing it higher even if he could. It wouldn't suit his age. I think he can sing in a higher range but does not risk it live.

@theperson37 The cool thing about Elton at least for me is both his higher early years voice and his lower today voice both sound amazing. Usually when an artist goes through a voice change, people usually aren't fond of the new voice, but with Elton, it doesn't matter.
