The Federal government gets its power from the state... That is what the problem has been for a long time now. Montana and Texas have been fighting this for years with gun laws, and Texas more recently with light bulbs. The federal government has grown too large and has leveraged its power through funding and the states (desperate for funds) have fallen in line. The states need to retake their power from the federal government.
