first of all these games are like for 17+, if you let your kids play this game, you should be well aware of its content and game rating. Secondly, if you let your kids go on internet, they probably had seen plenty. Only I live in the uk. I guess my parent are trying to protect me, but it does limit my choices somewhat. I can't get mass effect 2 or mafie 2 because of the inclusion of sex and nudity.
The only games I can get that do include some refrences to sex are Fallout 3 and fable (even then I try to skip the stuff)

I don't get why Bioware doesn't seem to understand this. I mean Xenogears had a love scene that ended in sex between the two main characters and it felt right at home, it felt like their relationship had been building up to that moment. I think if you pay attention to the stories they do serve a purpose in my opinion. Yes some of the Sex with Morrigan and Leliana is kind of gratuitous, but the last sex scene in the game has future implications. Also the sex scene in Mass Effect is right before you go on a mission where your whole crew could be annihilated.

Kelly is Bisexual in ME2. Lesbian scenes are possible with Asari, even though they are technically both male and female. ME2 is more about plot and combat, not just the romance, they aren't going to give you every possible sexual option (threesome etc).

Honestly don't know, but before we have sex in videogames,we have: sex in movies,sex in tv series,sex in ads,sex in cartoons,sex in music (some love songs are even about rape) sex in magazines,sex in novels and short stories etc. etc.
Well, to think about it :we already had sex in everything now, except... sports ?
Having sex in videogames probably aren't gonna change anything, for better or for worse.

@Nizaris1 I was a little bit wrong in my earlier statement, The Viking, one of their sport is rape(and pillaging),so yeah, we already have sex in everything.
But looking at the bright sight,we fare a lot better compare to what we are thousands of years ago or even hundreds of years ago.
I'm not saying that we should just let things goes,but as long as I'm still hearing 12 years old screaming in Modern Warfare 2,we're doomed.( 'cause parents aren't teaching their kids the right thing.)

There is no need for sex in this game, it is just a bait, the game is already good, it is unjustified, if Bioware want to make romance scene, it doesn't have to be sex visually, like in KotOR, Romance between Revan and Bastila, and romance between female Revan and Carth. don't forget that there are pirate CD/DVD, also torrent where anyone can download for free from internet, no matter the age restriction, anybody can play this game even 9 years old. The effect is, even kids, school kids, have been injected with porn as early in their age. Look at YT, how many videos showing sex scene in Dragon Age? No age restriction, everybody can watch it. I really don't get what the big deal is. It's just partial nudity that lasts about 10-20 seconds (atleast from what I have seen in Bioware's recent games). What some people don't realise though (mostly people who were complaining about the sex scene in Mass Effect 1) is that it's rated M for a reason, it mean's little kids shouldn't play it, could it be any clearer?

I don't get why Bioware doesn't seem to understand this. I mean Xenogears had a love scene that ended in sex between the two main characters and it felt right at home, it felt like their relationship had been building up to that moment. And Gears was released in 1998 and it was a JRPG no less. If JRPGs figured this out in 90's then why can't Bioware? Food for thought no?

I think if you pay attention to the stories they do serve a purpose in my opinion. Yes some of the Sex with Morrigan and Leliana is kind of gratuitous, but the last sex scene in the game has future implications. Also the sex scene in Mass Effect is right before you go on a mission where your whole crew could be annihilated.

Does the sex help develop the characters? no not really(but then again good characters are to Bioware what a knife is to a throat). Does the sex enrich the story, no it doesn't. And if the last sex scene in the game has future implications then why aren't they at least hinted at in Awakening? All it is is an awkward nuisance that only serves to boil the sales pot.

Ya know, I'm not opposed to having sexuality in games but can't it actually play a role in the story? Don't get me wrong I like Bioware's games as much as the next guy. But the sex just feels really out of place to me. It seems like it's there for its own sake and doesn't affect the overall story that much (if at all). In other words, you can seduce the hot mage or whatever but why...would you want to? If it doesnt affect the story then all Im watching is soft core porn. Just my opinion.

Kelly is Bisexual in ME2. Lesbian scenes are possible with Asari, even though they are technically both male and female. ME2 is more about plot and combat, not just the romance, they aren't going to give you every possible sexual option (threesome etc).

Bioware is great but they need to drop the sex scenes in their games. They're incredibly cheesy and usually add nothing to the plot. I'd rather the development time went somewhere else. I think they just like the media attention and controversy the sex scenes bring.

From what I've seen in bioware games, you go through 3 hours of talking at a time just to get to 5 minutes of mediocre fighting.

Just because a game has fun combat doesn't mean it has a shitty story. I like dragon age origins now but bioware games are like the show bleach, you have to go through a shitload of talking before you get to a boring 2 minute fight. Also, the conversations in their games last so much longer than they would ever need to.

It's odd, the amount of times I have had a conversation in this game whilst still spattered with about a gallon of someone else's blood - and yet, during the love scene there are no boobies to be seen! :) You can see much more graphic stuff online anyway, so what's the big deal? Tastefully done, it could enhance the game by giving an adult player something to relate to.
