Thanks for this tutorial. Notwithstanding iTunes Match, Photostream is the final frontier of iCloud for me. I was super excited about the promise of having my photos seamlessly sync between my devices without the need to manually email or upload to a service.
Then you dropped the bomb: you can't selectively delete photos from the Photostream? That's a pretty big gap in functionality, don't you think? I want this feature to work so badly, but I think I'll have to hold off.
No, iPhoto is a separate purchase from Lion. $15 on the Mac App Store.
