  • Very good villian they have made. Portray practicing Muslims in whatever role and made them extremist.

Me myself is a practising Muslim but alhamdulillah I respect every religion and so is my Islam.

In Islam U cannot kill women, children, old persons and those who r working in their fields even during war.

It is portrayed that a practising boy lost his mother bcs of fundamentalist and than he is not guilty and even sad???

  • maa marwa di,mashooq gawa dee,kia mila itna sekht ho ker, islam zeberdesti nahi phelaya ja sekta or orat ko azaadi hasil he islam mei

  • very gooooood film

  • Excellent movie depicting reality of gruesome fundamentalism in an extra ordinary way!

  • the movie is a fantastic experience...wish we could come up another freedom movement from all sorts of fundamentalism...

  • Man start religion thing and woman has to suffer !!

  • Excellent movie tolerance and world wide brotherhood.

  • WOW WOW WOW !!! IS IT A MOVIE MADE BY PAKISTANI ? EVERY MUZLIM IN HINDUSTAN SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE ..AND DECIDE OF THEIR STATE IN HINDUSTAN AS COMPARED TO THEIR COUNTERPARTS IN PAKI ! JAI HIND !!!

  • Looking at the state of Pakistan now and especially after watching this movie, I feel our elders have failed us. When these extremists were spreading hate in the name of religion and Zia's armies were taking many of the youngsters away, why on earth weren't they trying to protect their generations from such deliberate hatred and misrepresentation of their religion. Why did they stay silent so now their next generations are suffering. Hopefully we wont fail our next generations and do something!

  • I am a Pakistani - My forefathers were Sikh. And I am proud of my Heritage just like my Family. No one can pull an inch off my Heritage. Sikh were, are and will remain Our Brothers. Insh'Allah

  • I could barely hold the lump in my throat when Veero took that plunge. A very amazing movie with a message for all of us.

  • Menuh teek na laga veero/ayeshka keh mowth

  • ye 5 sajdo wali konsi namaz hai?

  • religious fundamentalism is a threat to human emotions, this threat is more severe when religion becomes official, pakistan need to rethink its position in this 21 century

  • @rishi25mgs ditto

  • Thank you and God bless you for letting us see this remarkable film. This film carries a vital message which you have shared with us.

  • what a wonderful movie....and Molvis they always have been try to make us fool in the name of islam...this is bad luck of Pakistan.....Pakistan has not been in good hands...ever!....I salute Kiron Kher for her performance and we would like to thank her for choosing this film and she worked for Pakistan...and I would like also to thank the director Miss Sabiha Sumar for making such a significant movie...and for delivering great message for our nation through this film.

  • Wow, thank you so much for uploading this movie.

  • jo apni maa da na ho sakya oho kise mazhab da kive ho sakda hai.pakistani loka ch kai change lok vi hunn par jo islam dharam hai ohdi galat varto kaaran ajj pakistan di eh halat hai.islam nu tyag ke vekho rabb milega.change karma naal te maa payo di seva naal

  • who is mr saleem khan today

  • wow wowowwowoowow what a movie what a movie really waht a movie i dont know what to say just a wounderful movie you know no matter what religion you keep but humanity is biggest religion which i feel told us this great movie nice

  • GROSS STUPIDITY! whole movie was referred to out of context in both conceptual and literal meaning.

    Waste of time

  • @ghayasbilbees Although I feel what happened in 47 is not discussed in our society, it is considered a tabboo and people are to afraid to talk about what happened. The Germans acknowledge what happened in WW2 and moved on, we havent really acknowledged what and who was responcible for what in 47

  • Really nice film...i hated the selfish son..Islam and Quran says to respect your parents no matter what....and what he did to the girl was really bad cause you can show interest in any one as long as you are a man but for a woman to say i love him is like HELL break lose....She is bad and called names......K. Kher was wonderful...

  • I had been waiting for this film for a long time. Thanks to u tube i saw it.This is Kiron Kher's master piece. The film shows the dangers of Zia(Mulla) version of Islam and today pakistan is paying the price of these obscurantist ideas.Perhaps the day they restore Jinnah"s version of the National anthem written by Jagan Nath Azad...things will begin to change for the better...or the slide towards talabization will continue which means only more misery for the women.

  • i second ur opinion..if only more people could fathom the same as well

  • Kher you are the Goddes of acting. Salam to you.

  • Before Britishers, muslims were the rulers of India. Why would they need to get protected after independence? It was all about politics and power which resulted in Pakistan. If you know a bit of history, the Pakistan was demanded first time in 1942. Even at the time of partition, there we more muslims in India than in Pakistan.

  • pakistan was not made for islam. it was made to protect the constitutional, cultural and social rights of a minority group in indai, namely muslims. so to say that pakistan was made for islam is fundamentally incorrect.

  • agar aisee hi baat hai to aj bhi muslims ki zyada tadad India mein rehti hai.

If I take it for granted what you are saying, than would you explain why the Slogan of the Pakistan Movement was 'Pakistan ka matlab kia - La ilaha ila Allah'

  • that was so sad...

  • a beautiful movie with a everlasting essence....thanks.....

  • so sad..:(

  • This movie touched my heart and soul. Well directed movie and kr kher has done terrific job, she was awesome.

  • Twisted, either the movie or my mind :S

  • fukin immature pakistani pricks, wont stop anywhere from embarassing themselves

Anyway excellent film, Extremely well directed, Kiron Kher did an amazing job

  • This movie has touched my heart so deeply and I am still unable to stop thinking about it. Thank you so much for uploading this movie on Youtube. I think there is not much difference in our cultures in India and Pakistan and I pray to the almighty for the peace, development and harmony in both the countries.

  • @mubrew123 I dont think there is, Pakistanis are shown in Indian media as v dif to what they are, we have a shared history, culture, and religion isnt as big a dividng factor as we think or like to think. Certainly the time of Zia ul haq was a very changing time in Pakistani society, but i think the effects were some what grossly exaggerated in the film

  • Guys Guys Guys!!! Stop pulling each other's legs, beliefs. Comment on the movie and concept behind it. It's a story of a woman which suffered and many like her suffered due the conflicts which we muslims have with Muslims or with Sikhs. The other message which this movie gives is to follow Quran and not some rebel or guy from a street who is willing to teach you Islam. We shall not have our own beliefs but have one belief based n QURAN. That's why QURAN was sent though 3 other books were there 2

  • You forgot the Sunnat bhaijaan.

  • I felt extremely ,,,;( sad after watching this Movie very very sad but very very true things things happened now matter what we say do or act these things and these types of people do exits in our society I should say double minded people

  • Stop this bullshit. Indian and Pakistanis do this a lot.

    Syed , Rizvi , Kazmi , Naqvi , Siddiqui , Farooqi , Usmani , Khan , Pathan , Niazi , Ansari , Qureishi , Ashrafi , Chamar , Bhangi , Mirasi , Makrani , Janjua , Julaha , Darzi , Kasai , Cheema , Rajputt , Soomro , Awan , Arain.....

all these castes are basically Muslims and members of the Ummat-e-Rasool ( saws) first and foremost.

  • I am glad that my ancestors are persian muslim from Prphet family(syeds) and i love/respect all religions what ever thy ar wherevr thy r from, at the end of the day we all r human first and then religion comes...

  • You are proud (or glad) on something you never had anything to do with! How can you be "proud" of your race and still can respect others? Thats called hypocrisy! look it up. By the way - all Pakistanis think they were descended from Persians and Arabs. You might not know that Persians and Arabs don't like Pakistanis a lot. They're actually more racist than you are. Do some research n you'll find out.

  • my comments are misunderstood i didn't mean that, ERIKCARTMAN or Arepha(u shoud b prud on wat u r but respect others wats wrong wid dat)unless u might hav som thin to be ashamed on (e.g.YAZID family)but i am glad that my family/ancestors are meeting with Prophet(S.A.W)by Imam Moosa KAZIM(shajra-e-syed). .research is required by ppl having no backround, not to thos u read DAROOD in every pray.(AL-E-MUhammad (s.A.W)

  • these things are meaningless. no one will be rewarded or punished by God based on their blood lineage. No matter how much you like to think how lucky you are, you'll be surprised to find yourself among everyone else when we all shall be judged. Put down your blood-line info manuals and your Sect-text and read Quran.

  • oops, you are signed in from wrong id here.

  • "Persian" from prophet family? Do you have any idea what you are talking about. For god sake, cease being a racist and do some research

  • luv this movie.

made me cry i wish i can have contact with that women Aysha.when i looked at her made me cry i remember something. She was a great mother...

  • Our original family name is 'Janjua' and I just found out that Janjua Rajputs are actually Kshatriyas in the Hindu caste system. Most Punjabi names show our Hindu origin. I was really surprised bc I always thought I was descended from Persians.I used to look down on Hindus before, like when I heard about them venerating even cow urine. But now I can't-how can a Pakistani hate a Hindu so much when they have the blood of thousands of Hindu ancestors in their veins?

  • Very good question! I totally agree with you...it's that hatred and anger sturred up by others unfortunately :(

  • dont worry mate, half of pakistan is in your position...I am glad that i am iranian decend with syed family but i love/respect all other religion or sect and dont beleive on cast system

  • Don't worry Sabee, more than half of the Pakistanis try to prove that they are hashmi, farooqi, usmani, syed etc, migrated from Iran, Arab, Afghanistan. You are just another in the lot. But I don't see any reason to be "glad" on that. May God have mercy on you.

  • @arepha I could ideally start naming out ayaat of quran and ahadees which speak on this subject, sufficient to say is these examples: no matter how good your lineage it will not save you from the fire, whether its being the son of a nabi (e.g Lot (AS)), the wife of one (Lot and Nuh (A.S)) or the Prophet (SAW)'s mother. And people from the worst of households, the wife of pharoah (the person promised the worst punishment in the hellfire) being of the 4 women who perfected thier faith

  • Well, in most cases, ALL the blood they have are from the Hindu ancestors - for Hinduism was around when Islam wasnt around here but your Hinfu ancestors where still somewhere in the Rajasthan-Punjab area.

So much for being "two nations"

  • Remarkable movie. Hats off to Sabiha Sumar for adding life to our memories and thank you Arepha for sharing it with us.

  • wow! this movie worth to see, i am proud of this movie, Islam is not a religion of Hate, but some people are using it for there own ideas and cause. May Allah give a right path to muslims and every body.

Thanks for posting this lovely movie.

  • Lovely movie . Thank you.

  • Arepha, thank you for posting this movie. I was speachless at the end.

  • I am glad you liked it

  • much better than the over-hyped 'Khuda ke liye'.Shows the self-hate that Islam induces among the converts. Not only that, the mulsim are always suspicious of the new converts.Read the book 'The other side of Silence' by Urvashi Butalia to know more about the hate faced by the Hindus/Sikhs who were converted muslims by force.

  • Islam doesn't induce any self-hatred amongst the converts. As a matter of fact no religion does that. Its the minority of people who strive on the fear induced in public and this clergy system exists in all communities. Also, this is the story of both sides.

  • Yes it does.Just observe the number of neo converts to Islam being involved in terrorism related activities like Dhiren Bharot..The hatred of the son of the main protagonist once he finds out that his mother was a non-muslim is so telling.I have read a few such personal accounts in Butalia's book. The complete denial of the present day malaysians/pakistanis of their Hindu past is an example of the self hate.Same is true for the Bangladeshis which were Buddhist.

  • HOw can a Muslim remember his Hindu past? A hindu has a set place in society, he has a caste: for a muslim to hold on to his Hindu past (which in all likelihood got mixed up wiht several other caste groups within Hinduism and other races from outside hindu fold over the centuries) would be to hold on to Hindu casteism. Islam's effect in India has been the breakdown of castes with each generation. hinduism's effect has been to further subdivide people into castes over the centuries.

  • A Hindu who converts to Muslim remembers his or her Hindu past just like a son or daughter remembers their parents life. Trying to erase the life and thinking that the belief of your own forefathers and your own blood was something inferior than what you believe in, is really hating one's own blood. This is what is called self-hate. If a modern Hindu denies his/her non-Vedic past, it is similar self-hate.

  • very true and its a travesty of fate that even hindus dont understand their vedic past

  • Gr8 Efforts....very strong expressions by artists.

nice background music...thnxs for subtitles...my punjabi is not so good...

I donno whether it could change somebody's heart...but i am pretty sure, it will make you think onces again abt ur stand for religion.

  • o bhai...ay keri namaz ay....jiss wich chhay chhay sajday ho reh ney...subhan teri Qudrat... :D

  • saw this film today with an english and a brazilian friend and they were totally shocked by this amazing film. Humanity has no language, country, colour or religion

  • wow ! thats great

  • great movie. Humanity is what makes us humans.

  • Good Movie but full of exaggeration......

  • what do you think is exaggeration in the movie ? :)

  • truth is often an exaggeration of reality

  • saw this amazing film one night on channel 4. Myself and an english friend. We were rivetted by teh end and were almost in shock at the final scene. My friend was old enough to know of the partition and he had tears in his eyes. what a film.

  • It,s AWESOME and unbelievable ACTING!!!GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT wofk

  • really good movie, acting was excellent scenes awesome thanks

  • Amazing movie and I applaud everyone associated with it. Bravo!

  • over all a very good story and true, Islam is not to hate or kill others its meaning are to love humanity in any way. These extremist terroist are killing not only Pakistan but Islam, and the main persons responsable are General Zia and the Saudi's who know nothing about Islam. All you have to look in to the love given by our Prophet Mohammed who shold nothing but peace and love never started any fight first

  • i totally agress with you. prophet muhammad (pbuh) never waged war against anyone, all the wars in his time were in defense. it was after when he passed away that some of his companions took it the wrong way, his message was love and peace and you can prove your point with force!Awesome effort with t his film

  • I meant you can NEVER prove your point with force.

  • great work!... its true one follows certain relegion to be a good person and have a personality that attracts other people towards you instead of being someone who scares others away

  • see theyy made fun of sikhs in the movies 4-5 times, which i personally did not like, but on the other hand i know that the movie is not abt making fun of sikhs, but it is about sending some great message, and i got that, its humanity, but i would have liked it more if there wouldnt be any thing in the movie making fun of sikhs

  • I see where you're coming from...but this movie is based on the true story of many people of that time. The movie wasn't made to make fun of Sikhs, but rather to show that there are people of that sort. I know you would like this movie more if they didn't, but wouldn't we all? Life would be so much better. Sadly, you'll find people like that today too...Muslims were also discriminated against as well. Basically this movie depicts the reality of those years.

  • excellent movie

    love it

    thanks for uploding

  • we need to be huma beings first, not muslim not sikhs

  • You are right

  • great movie, thank you so much. what religion make you animal i am so sad to say it

  • Every religion came as revolution to free people but sadly, with passage of time religion becomes property of a few clercs who rule people on the name of religion. It happened to every religion from hinduism to Islam. I am muslim but I think Sikhism is latest, so it's less authoritative yet.

  • lol acha

  • G8 movie arepha thks for uploading it .Iwas born in 1949 so i dont have any personal memories of the 1947 riots but what i have heard of them they were gory and we can not but hang our head in shame whatever we are Hindu Muslim or Sikh . Pinjar and Train to Pakistan are equally good movies on similar subjects

  • pretty good directed and acted movie!
