  • Was it? Deleted?

  • got to love the way Mandana slips Simone the tongue at 32!

  • This wasn't deleted, it was shown in the episode. Maybe it was deleted wherever you watched it? But not in the original series in the UK.

  • My two best girls at work...

  • This scene was not deleted! I distinctly remember it!

  • @Minniemousejan2010 Me too!!!

  • boner-time o:

thats love, chemistry and sex and all good stuff all in one.

    i love it :)

  • beautiful scene, the girl on the left is stunning

  • She says "I want you!"

Ahh if only it were possible to believe that this was an 'unscripted' line.... If you get my drift.... ;)

  • @bighoaxor LOL!

  • They used a different scene, just with less passion.. which was completely pointless! This one was fine!

  • Why was this deleted!! There was NOTHING wrong with it!

  • I've a question... why does Helen (aka Simone Lahbib) say "mon dieu". I know that Simone Lahbib has an Algerian-French father, so she knows some French but why did she say "mon dieu" when in character?

  • @lezfemme1 I don't think it was "mon dieu", I hear it as "I want you". Which is much much hotter =)

  • Seems fine to me. Remember everyone is "closet" something as k.d. lang stated in an interview. How very true. Or people feel hiding their true feelings will distintegrate them. Not true. If its in there, you will feel it and know it with your heart and soul no matter how hard you try to hide it.

  • There's nothing like this on American TV or in films - all lesbians are now there only to titilate men. In fact, they're not even lesbians, but straight girls having a row - "Black Swan" case in point. If "real" lesbians are shown, there is no sex between them, case in point, "The Kids are All Right." Rubbish.

  • i never liked women until i seen helen!!

  • It was deleted because of the 00:30 tongue, when Nikki used her tongue in kissing Helen... That what I read somewhere, producers felt it brought "Natural" reaction from Simon Lahbib.... lol

  • It's a matter of economics, TV Stations do not run for free. If advertisers threaten to pull ad revenue due to a shows content TV Stations have to listen. The hardest lesson I had to learn as a lesbian is it doesn't matter if the world cares about an issue.... YOU have got to have the people with the money behind you to get anything media seen! It is a shame but a truth.

  • I see no problem with this scene at all, we'll never know exactly why it wasn'y shown but its a shame it never aired.

  • When T.V stations edit scenes like this or refuse to show them before a certain time they are essentially rending gay people as deviants and more or less saying this sort of behaviour is unacceptable and shouldnt be seen, which in turn promotes homophobia. Being gay is very common and also harmless, its time the media started portraying gays as such. The media is a powerful tool. If they started treating gays as equals to straights it could reduce a lot of homophobia.

  • this was the best scene the ever did together, not b/c it was a sex scene although if helen and nikki hadn't had one night together the lesbian population who watches the show probably would have imploded from the heat lol but the performance of simone and mandana were amazing from the anger and frustration to the absolute lust and love they showed they showed how much they were in tune with their characters (best of anyone who ever performed on the show) and what fantastic actors they are

  • it was ok thay shoulda went on

  • "I want you.." :)

  • Much sooner have a spin off about Helen & Nikki we all got what we wanted a happy ending no one can split them up thats not right. \cant wait to get my hands on the dvds series one to three play them over and over

  • Helen - my all time favorite television lesbian!!! Let's get her together with Sam from Lip Service -- smokin' hot!!!

  • @lipservicefans Oh Helen. I just love to listen to her talk, doesn't matter what she's saying. She's got a damn sexy voice.

  • @LunaArgentum10 yeah, I agree, I have the same feeling, I just like to hear her voice whatever she says, Love you Helen <3

  • Being obsessed with this show when it was aired & when I bought the dvds, I can say that it was only the couch bit that wasn't shown the rest was.

  • I grow more and more fond of these two caracters. Their chemistry is awesome! And this deleted scene made me more curious about their interaction behind the camera... call it wishfull thiking, but they're so hot together!! All other videos were they appear relaxed together, joking, and pretending to kiss (or really doing it!), show how their friendship must have grown strong.

Straight or gay, they' re really beautiful women and great actresses!

  • there are both ecxeptionall actresses to be able to do this sceene so well, being straight wemen x

  • Helen show all the passion to nikki we never saw helen in that way the love of helen now become open

  • How do you know why it was cut? I see a lot of assumptions here but no information.

  • @koinshaku

This full scene was not in the final editing of the show. Apparently it was on the DVD in the Deleted Scenes section. Unfortunately for me, I don't have it as I live in San Francisco and only Series 1 has been made available for this market. :(

  • That said, it would have been nice if they had at least left in the bit when they fall onto the sofa. It could certainly have been cut there.

  • Wow. I could watch that scene carry on for a VERY long time!

My take on why is was cut from the final airing is not so much over the fact that it's 2 women but for art direction reasons. I'm a designer and art director and I have a feeling they thought the scene was a bit 'messy' because Helen's hoodie was sort of slipping all over and blocking Nikki and the two of them. Her hair was doing the same thing. It's important in scenes that their faces be shown for the emotional context.

  • @lepickering I totally agree on this and your other comment - the sofa scene should have stayed. And I also think that @bigpinkears gave also some good explanation why it was deleted. So mostly artistically reasons.

  • any one know what helen says on the couch it sounds like "i warned you" but i have heard it was surposed to be "i want you" anyone care to enlighten

  • @MrsSnape210 I always thought she said "Here", meaning for Nikki to touch her, er chest!

  • Oh yes,the boob play was extremely bold: ripping each other's tops off, and then

Helen grabbing Nikki's hands and pressing them to her boobs.

  • Someone has to close my open mouth!! :D Super,powerfull,full of love..Awesome scene!!Thanks ;))))

  • Sh!t - This is the first lesbian scene I've seen that comes anywhere close to straight scenes. I'm not gay, but I've seen few straight scenes as insanely hot as this one. Censors should move on and find something else to get their knickers in a knock about.

  • there chewin each others faces off!! lmao! ;D x

  • Considering that the deleted scene wasn't much more explicit than the one that aired, I would think that the reason that they didn't choose this one is because it started a bit too calm. In that situation, Helen probably felt exasperated, conflicting emotions, etc. When you look at the scene that they chose to air in place of this one, Lahbib starts off appearing much more exasperated than she did in this one.

But yeah, the bold boob play might have been too much for that particular channel.

  • Well can u name 2 hot actual lesbian actresses !!!????????????? Me neither !!!lol......suppose lindsey lohan kissing a mirror !!lolo

  • @bettingbaz

Cathy DeBuono, Portia De Rossi, Jill Bennett...I am sure there are others, but I seldom watch movies or television anymore.

  • @bettingbaz Leisha Hailey, Michelle Rodriguez , Portia De Rossi

Clementine Ford...shes not so much hot as really pretty

Then theres the hot Bisexual actresses

Kristanna Loken (she acted in Terminator 3 as the female terminator btw and shes bloody hot) and Angelina Jolie, and Laurel Holloman. Theres more hot lesbian/bi actresses, I'm not sure of them all though.

  • does it piss anyone else off that all of the best lesbian characters in most tv shows are straight??

  • Yes.. just abit lol

  • why was this deleted? its nt as bad as the scenes in other programs lol

  • *-* I don't know, but is a nice scene

  • The scene when there were horny on the bed was deleted :(

    That's a pity echh...

  • Esta escena es eliminada, porque colocan una ascena mejor.

  • Can actors french kiss on British tv? Looks like Mandana started to then stopped. Also in their last scene in series 3 looked like Simone was going to the way she opened her mouth but stopped herself.

  • They did french kiss in the last scene...Simone definitely gives Mandana some tongue. Then when they're standing up against the wall, they're also french kissing.

  • this scene wasn't deleted, I saw it

  • Part of it was deleted.....I just watched this episode.

  • can scomeone upload the scene when they r in bed

  • They are both stunning!

& This scene is gorgeous. It's ridiculous that it was deleted. (:

  • nice vid

  • its hot :D

  • I agree totally we don't get the respected air time this scene is so intense and true to how these 2 women feel about each other. I loved watching the season of nikki and helen I was sorry to see it end.

  • I think they were enjoy themselves too much..:-)

    They were gorgeous together

  • ...I have to say -that I don't get it why they deleted that scene!!!!! so passion and beautiful !

  • I LOVE the quiet whispering: I want you! at 1:02!!!! Helen whispering her desire!!! Love this clip!!!! Helen and Nikki are soo magical together!! <3

  • Some people are not too keen when they

feel the energy... This scene is energized.

I'm glad It's back on becouse I love the

    energy of this scene!!!

  • I think it was deleted due to the fact that Nikki is clearly a top.

  • Hmmm, I don't know - Nikki started things off, but Helen took over very well! : D

  • great clip, thank you

  • No matter how sexually evolved we like to think we've become, a lot of barriers still remain when beautiful, believable lesbian passion like this is hidden from view... It's only heterosexual scenes that get enough "respect" to be shown - all the freakin' time! - to the public.

  • we haven't evolved as it happens - I think we have gone backwards since the 60's.

It's interesting that heterosexuality is 'flaunted' in front of us via tv and other media and yet we can't even have a little bit - that isn't preconceived of male heterosexual writers.

  • @kitzi79 Sim, Totalmente Certo, Meu Amigo!

  • @kitzi79 - Promiscuity and pornography are not forms of sexual evolution. Sex should not be flaunted, regardless of whether the partners are heterosexual or homosexual. No wonder the world is in a state!!!

  • Very hot. Much more raw and erotic than the scene that was broadcast...obviously a bit too much so for some tastes.

  • the love scene between Nikki and Helen wasn't totally cut but most, yes.

  • This scene expresses visceral intimacy.

    This is no trite

"let's do it like the straight people do it".

The intimacy depicted would be too great a challenge for any one who plays out the empty gymnastics they consume as pornography, and who have rarely experience intimacy in their own lives.

It's failure as a scene is that it is much too beautiful.

  • I hate it when people think they have to right to edit things because someone has a problem with it. I am glad that you feel the same way. So fix the "Objectum Sexuality and Animism"... Dick.

  • I would love to show the Objectum Sexuality documentary in full actually, however there are a few issues with it (I've since learnt):

    - participants felt they were not represented as who they truly are

    - it was edited to project a certain 'storyline'

    - I don't own the copyright

I'm pleased you seem to want to know more, the original excerpt was up for a few days until there was some negotiation around sensitivity issues, so the process was transparent, the decision were made in concert.

  • I love the show too.

We ARE equal (some of us are superior) -- it's just that THEY can't/don't/won't recognize it! How can they when they've been brainswashed into thinking that ignorant, superstitious, bigoted, bronze age inhabitants of Israel were actually The One "God"?

  • Great scene. Perhaps it was too "real" even for British TV. Still, the BBC did, greatly to their enlightened credit, air Tipping the Velvet and Fingersmith.

  • true, even in my own country our public broadcaster did (and regularly do repeats of) Fingersmith and Tipping - but how many full on heterosexual scenes are we subjected to in most story lines - to state the obvious we aren't 'equal' yet - but censorship of this scene in a film set in a gaol which a lesbian storyline with allot of violence and heterosexual sex, this seems odd (esp considering it really is tame). Love the show regardless, but it does me wonder.
