poodles are proven to be one of the most intelligent dog breeds so for you who say they are not, read up about the subject. the border collie is the brightest shining star though. And no, this does not mean english bulldogs are stupid, it just means poodles and bulldogs are different from eachother. And for you who let your bulldog mate with a tiny poodle, i sure hope she didnt get pregnant. Bulldogs themselves even have problems giving birth to their puppies without going through a c-section.

@momowowo16 yes thats exactly my point, the poodle will give birth to bulldog mixes. Bulldogs have very large chests and heads and that why its hard for the females to give birth, the puppies are too big. So the poodle being female is the problem, it would have been slightly better the other way around even though mixing these breeds is a bad idea anyway.

Breeders, puppy mills or your neighbors next door, contribute to what has become an overwhelming overpopulation problem.

@LuthienDragon I'm not being ignorant, I'm just pointing out a flaw in what you said. Mixing breeds isn't wrong, it actually helps dogs. What's wrong is the mentality people have saying that purebreds are better. Purebreds came about through artificial selection, one of the main factors being inbreeding of dogs. So the 400+ breeds today shouldn't exist. It's corruption of the human mind that' s caused this. You should say "don't discriminate between dogs" instead of "keep the genes separate".

@LuthienDragon Haha, okay, seeing as how I'm a Veterinary Technician, and seeing as how it was a joke, you need to relax. Number one, if you've ever personally worked with a poodle, or any poodle mixed breed, you would soon realize that they are one of the most incredibly dumb dogs you could find. Though they can learn commands quickly, it's because they are people pleasers, like a Lab. Bulldogs are not, they don't care to please you, such as a Mastiff. Personality wise, Bulldogs win hands down

Bulldogs...not, they are fun,but I prefer my house clean than filled with drool and poop because a Bulldog is retarded in learning. A Poodle holds the title for smartest dog around, while the smartest Bulldog knows how to ride a skateboard (which is easy). They can't even run for more than a minute. Poodle is only second to Collies. A Bulldog has an attention span of a rabbit.

@LuthienDragon last time I checked my bulldog doesn't go "poop" in the house, nor does he drool everywhere. In fact, he can do a whole menagerie of tricks and is quick intelligent. I've met plenty a poodle that couldn't do anything, I've worked as a groomer for 6 years, and now a Vet Tech for 4, I've worked with dogs my entire life on top of that as my mom is a dog trainer and I've helped her since I was 7. Just because they do what you say doesn't mean they can problem solve for themselves.

Seriously. I've worked in veterinary clinics, one that attends more than 30 dogs AN HOUR. They don't survive in selling "dog food", like most veterinary clinics do. They don't even sell it.

Plus, instead of promoting Bulldogs "are best" you should be saying "ALL DOGS" are best. That's the main reason pounds are full, you're a vet tech, you should know.
