nashville has gone hollywood. needs to go back to some good ol country. took a vacation there not to long ago went to tooties bar and the country singers that played wasnt nothing compared to what country i grew up on. country is not no pop country or light rock country. country should be country and nothing else.

@djp00761 You dont hear real country singers on the radio because Nashville has been focused on outward appearance first, talent second. Really talented people that spend their lives honing their talent.. don't want to be TOLD that they cant use a fiddle, a steel guitar, or a banjo (aka Dixie Chicks) , or have their compositions turned into driving rock and roll to sell to kids..Country music is much more mature than this, as is the listener..

@Singlpilot yes we all realize this whole country music culture has change since the mid 80's,it's been taking over by Nashville technicians/business people who have only one thing in mind---money---and sadly for real country lovers,these Nashvillians are very succesfull in doing this,they know very well how to package country music into something that'll reach huge amount of buyers and all these so called country performers are satisfied making millions but they ruined real country.Eric.

@huskernloper I am sorry but have to disagree. Mark does a really good job on this, great country singer. Lefty was awesome as well but Keith rules this song and anything he ever sang no matter who sang it before or after him.

Keith Whitley had this on an album but Lefty Frizzell first had it out. Written along with Whitey Shafer in the 60's. Merle Haggard and Gene Watson also cut the song. It's a really great country song.
