rally cars should have seats that can be easily removed in a standardised way so that rescue crews can leave the injured victim in the seat and harness and take to hospital like that; just an idea.

@tpvalley yea but have fun gettin that seat out of the door of the car with a person in it. it would be very painfull for that person espicaly if they were injered becuase they would be bumped against the door frame. plus then the seats would be a weak point and in a big crash they could let go and i would not want to be in an accedent where my seat is not attached to the floor.

seats are bolted to floor yes?

u could have exploding/ auto seperating bolts and still remove roof and doors etc, it just saves moving to stretcher for transport.

If jammed against door frame it makes little difference if u cut around seat, u could even cut seat out. or cut mountings.
